I'm waiting until next payday to stock up ... I blew this pay period's DVD budget already, on the "Incredible Hulk - Complete Series" set and the Amazon deal for the "Abbot & Costello - The Complete Universal Films."

Having kind of a hard time deciding how to divvy up my wish list; do I shoot for TV show sets, or do I go for the older titles that have been taking up space on the list? I might open this up for discussion and feedback, although in the past, when I've done that, I usually get directed to a sale where I could find the items cheaper ... pbbbt.

Picked up a few Criterions for only approx. $1.00 more than they would be in the B&N $ale taking into account tax on them!

Good prices on Acorn Media sets, many of which go to less than half price once the 25% is subtracted. Been waiting for set 2 (which is really series 4, as series 1 and 2 are incomplete and unavailable in R1) of Callan to drop in price for years. Now it's $25.20, with RRP of $60.

If it's not too late check importcds.com first (if I'm not mistaken they are DDs parent company). They regularly have lower prices and are currently having a 10% off sale. They *do* charge shipping/handling fees so it could be a wash but it's worth checking.

And that's alright.

Shame they aren't extending the sale, there's a couple more items on my list I could knock off.

Order arrived today. Deep Discount, love you. Now, I just need to wait until what appears will be Saturday for the Superman Unbound Blu that I ordered as a daily deep deal on Monday for $12 ($14 w/ ship ... $20+ almost everywhere else I've looked).

With the great deals on my wishlist items, plus awesome turnaround on shipping, I'm glad I use DD on a monthly basis.

(What's that, you ask? "Have I seen the useless thread-shitting on this sale going on in the Blu version of this thread, and by posters who admit that they haven't used Deep Discount to the tune of several years, no less, so their feedback equals less than nothing?" ... yeah, I did, so this was my own way to offset bullshit negativity.)
