Media Blasters Bargains @ FYE - YMMV
 

I've noticed over the last 2 weeks that FYE is stocking Media Blasters titles (I've seen Shriek Show and Exploitation Digital titles) at bargain prices. These are new stock that haven't been sitting around for a long time, at least at my local store. I've found most of these stocked in the normal areas but it has been noted that they may appear in the "bargain bin" as well.

My local FYE also has the first three ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA films in a boxset for $4.97. One of the producers of SLIME CITY MASSACRE is an acquaintance and lives in the neighborhood.

I spotted several of the Media Blasters titles already mentioned in the Horror Section - I also saw Grindhouse Experience Presents Mercs (Soldiers of Fortune 10 Feature Film Collection) for $3

I picked up a few of the "Code Red"/"Guilty Pleasures"/"Tokyo Shock" DVDs:

Nice. Glad to see other stores are getting some deals. I'll be checking the same store I've been checking weekly either tomorrow or Friday and hopefully there will be something good that hasn't been there yet.

Only had a few minutes before work today but found some great titles for the Drive-In Challenge. No Media Blasters titles, are those mixed in with the general selection?

Nice grabs. All of the Media Blaster titles I've found have been mixed in with the regular selection, but some others have noted they found them in the bargain bin.

At my local FYE the Media Blasters titles I spotted were in the horror section (they had 1-3 copies of each), the clerk was able to check the stock on the computer and tell me if they had them and where they were. At a Suncoast I hit during my travels the Media Blasters titles were in the Bargain Section.

OK, went back and scoured that store and was able to find some. Tulsa store is picked clean now btw (except for a few Dragon Dynasty Releases, Delinquent Girl Boss, some of the squirrelly looking kung fu double features and the Once Upon A Time In China 3 pack).

Went to the FYE in Cedar Park, TX and found diddly squat. Left Eye On Horror (pictured above). it duplicates a Tales Of Voodoo box set I already have. Also left behind Mercs set. No Media Blasters.

Didn't find any of these at the Modesto, CA mall location but I did find a few at the local B&M store:

There were also a few Shriek Show/Media Blasters Asian titles, but these didn't really interest me. All of these titles were in the new bargain bin or on the bargain rack. The rep. said that they get new titles weekly (woo hoo!).

Told myself I didn't need any of these, but I happened to be at the mall yesterday and ended up getting five titles. None of them were in the bargain bin and without this thread I would have never known what to look for. Thanks guys. :)

All blind buys, but only $2.85 per movie after tax. I'm lucky I found anything, as the whole store was a mess. The horror section was sorted by letter, but nothing was in order alphabetically. For example, Hellraiser was at the top of the display and Halloween was at the bottom. It took a good twenty minutes of flipping through the racks to find anything. No trace of the Delinquent Girl Boss set or 2-Disc Zebraman. All the Dragon Dynasty DVDs were crammed on the lower shelf of the "Exercise" section. :rolleyes:

I found most of these but I couldn't locate Slime City Massacre (2 disc) at either of my stores so if you see a extra one I'd pay cost + shipping for it.
