For those with a region free DVD player, this box set is available for about $115 (after VAT removal, plus shipping) at Amazon UK:

Hard to buy this when I got the first 9 seasons at BL for 6 bucks a piece ;)

10 bucks though is now my max for classic TV that's been out a while.

I don't have any Dallas so it's a great deal for me. It was at £100 forever which I thought was more than I wanted to pay but I kept my eye on it. The other day it was lowered to £83.25 so I thought it was time. After VAT removal, £69.38. Comes to about $8.21 per season (yes, I know the first "season" was very short) plus getting the four movies.

Plus, the British discs are one-sided, 105 of them. I think the US discs are two-sided. Plus you get a rather attractive box to house the rather unattractive individual cases.

Fortunately Amazon UK shipping charges, like Amazon US, are by number of items, not by weight. :) (Amazon Italy and Spain take weight into consideration.)

Very tempted. What are the chances of a box set with a bonus disc being issued? Or a possible blu-ray release? I myself would think either of those would be rather slim. But, with the unfortunate death of Larry Hagman, I wonder if it might prompt the studio.

I thought of that but I also think a blu-ray set is very unlikely.

Maybe with this price and the recent death of Larry Hagman there will be a spike in sales.

I wouldve thought a more economically priced complete series set would've come out around the time the new season is released.

Wow that's an awesome price, especially for 14 seasons plus the post TV movies.

It sucks that they are all in 4:3 since the show was made in the pre-HD/16:9 TV days.

I would be tempted on this one, but 1) I don't have the time to watch all 14 seasons in a timely fashion. 2) Sales tax makes it end up costing about $202.55.

If I spend that kind of money on DVDs, I would want to watch them right away and not throw them in the closet unwatched.
