Re: Complete Series Sets on Sale (Black Friday Week)

Thanks for the heads-up...fantastic prices on several of those (about 1/2 of their recent sales on same items).

It Takes a Thief will be $29.49 lightning deal on Thursday morning at 8:20 PST (11:20 EST) if you want to gamble. The $45 price is tempting, but the later seasons are supposedly pretty grainy.

Thanks, OP. I've been waiting for the Andy Griffith to hit that $50 price point for a long time.

where do you get that price? It's 29.49 on the Amazon BF calendar.

May have to bite on Andy Griffith Only have first 2 seasons unopened. Mabe MacGyver as well despite the crappy packaging.

Charlie's Angels Complete series is $34.96 right now (Amazon). I pulled the trigger on it last night (w/$5 coupon) after I read season 5 will be released MOD only.

There are Canadian editions (that cost a fortune) and UK ones (which don't). The UK Blu-rays are all region-free. I've seen them selling for as low as 5GBP per season before shipping at various retailers.

Look here for a useful comparison site.

Such a shame that the promised remastering by Shout never happened. Still, it will probably never see another release.

I wish a Marketplace seller would match TAGS so I didn't have to pay tax. Same for the ABBOTT & COSTELLO movie collection which is down to $61.49.

EDIT: I see by the Camels that the A&C Collection has been as low as $47.99, so today's price not as good as I thought and I will skip it. TAGS the cheapest it's ever been so I will go for it and use the $5.00 coupon to cover the tax.

Re: Complete Series Sets on Sale (Black Friday Week)

For classic cartoon lovers like myself, I just noticed that Shout Factory's Underdog: Complete Collector's Edition is available new from Amazon Warehouse Deals for $16.99 shipped (14.01 + 2.98 shipping). That's a huge savings from the $70 list.

Your link states price is $29.26 unless it just changed. I was in at $16.99 but will hold off on $30.00. Marketplace seller has 1 new for $9.99 but its out of new york and honestly for some strange reason the only bootlegs I ever recieved were from Ebay sellers in NY!!! SO I will definately pass!!!

Yeah I picked up the UK Region 2 set for practically nothing and definately I like the packaging of the discs much better on the UK set-

Like someone else said, looks like the price changed but Amazon still had some from their warehouse deals that were "used - like new" for $13.39 and free shipping with Prime. I picked up one of those copies. Thanks for the post!

That's the Amazon price. Amazon Warehouse Deals is a Marketplace seller and you cannot link to the Marketplace price so you have to click New there to find it. I don't see one for 9.99 but I still see the Warehouse deal. Try this link and search for Underdog:

Be careul. There are 2 listings of "like new'. One says it may be repackaged.

These are restocked. But it is not Amazon Warehouse Deals, but AMAZING Warehouse Deals. I went ahead and ordered one of the "like new" copies from Warehouse deals, hoping it will be brand new.

Amazon.ca has "24: The Complete Series" for $124.99, today only. Good deal?

I've never watched a single episode of 24.

Not very, I've seen it for a lot cheaper $90 (not sure about the exact price) and i've also seen the individual seasons (newer slim sets) for around $10 each.

But the show is amazing! I'm at the beginning of Season 2. Each episode keeps you at the edge of your seat and is a lot of fun. But after watching everything that Jack Bauer does in just 24 hours, I feel really unproductive haha

If you don't already, do yourself a favor and pick up a region free dvd player. I have bought quite a few complete series TV sets from Amazon UK for about at least half the price of their american counterparts.!!! i.e. picked up "24" CS for a little over $50.00 shipped! "Alias" CS for about $40.00 shipped! Quite a few others. Yes you do have to wait a little longer for delivery but IMO prices are DEFINATELY worth it!!

Re: Complete Series Sets on Sale (Black Friday Week)

I'm tempted by Magic School Bus. I found that show to be fascinating and entertaining when I watched it with my kids. Is that wrong?

And despite the paper sleeves - I may get that Andy Griffith set. Wish it included some of Mayberrry RFD.
