Great catch, KNDY! Couldn't pass it up for $10.86 shipped (damn CA tax!).

This title got great reviews and kinda sorta, but not really, makes up for my missing the Mack Sennett shorts TCM showed this month. I'm hoping someone is working on a box set release of all those, but who knows? A day late and a dollar short.

They are working on a box set of the Sennett shorts TCM has been showing. They are aiming for December, but my guess is 2003. @Laughsmith on twitter would have the info.

Thank you so much for this information! I have been kicking myself for missing the showings, so this is great news. Now if I could find the first three WHISTLER movies that I also missed on TCM earlier in the month. :lol:

Got my set today. Terrible packaging with cardboard sleeves. Will have to use an alternative to prevent damage to the discs. When are manufacturers going to learn that cardboard sleeves are a bad idea?

I thought this set was released awhile ago, but the copyright says 2012. I eyeballed it and they appear to be pressed discs. I know IMAGE has been doing some DVD-R re-releases.

It's most like a re-release with the new, crappy packaging. I guess for that price I can live it.

Yup, released a while back... went OOP and started going for decent $$$ ($75-100)... and is now re-released in this slim packaging, but the content is the same.

Is the current release by Madacy or Image? Some sites say Image while others say Madacy. I do not think I have ever bought a Madacy title due to the early days of DVD and thier reputation.

The dvd packaging says IMAGE MADACY on the back. BTW, the packaging is not ideal, but it's not as bad as I anticipated.

I just did some searching and Image bought Madacy in 2010. I may pick this up at some point.

As long as the discs aren't damaged, it's easily worth the price.
