Doctor Who The Movie $9.99 at Best Buy

I'm not going to pretend that this is the best Doctor Who outing, but I watched it today and it isn't that bad. The sticker that comes on the DVD has a $29.99 price on it. I wouldn't pay that much for it, but for $9.99 I'd say it was worth it, and even if you aren't crazy about the movie both discs have special features that are pretty good. According to CamelCamelCamel the lowest price Amazon has had this for is $17.99, so if you ever plan on getting this Best Buy is the way to go unless Amazon price matches it. The only downside is you can't order this from Best Buy's website, but you can see on their website if they have it at a store near you.

Re: Doctor Who The Movie $9.99 at Best Buy

Thanks for the tip. When I saw the movie when it was originally broadcast, the issues I had with it was that it was too "Americanized" in my mind, with the big orchestral soundtrack, the action scenes, the romantic chemistry with the companion and not using the classic TARDIS interior. When I recently watched it again, I realized all those changes were in the current series. Doesn't seem so bad now, but I could do without the half-human thing.

BB has also had the SE of the Talons of Weng-Chiang for $19.99 on their website for a while, if you're more into the classic series.

Just an FYI that you can't find it on the site by searching for Doctor Who The Movie. They have it listed as "Doctor Who [Fullscreen Special]" of all things. I was able to pick it up today after figuring that out. Thanks.
