Best Buy ad for Movies
I would guess the Best Buy exclusive bonus footage is only for the Blu-ray 3D pack, but the Blu-ray 3D does include the Blu-ray. Does that make sense?

Hit a BB store today. The film selection keeps shrinking, & cd's are almost non existent.

The horror section is weak at my store. I remember when it was nearly one whole isle.
Overall the selection is less.

Missing was a great little series up until:
It's stings because the show isn't coming back for a 2nd season.
If you have nothing to watch and didn't watch it on ABC, it's a worthy watch IMO for only $10. Lots of action and great scenery.

I just rented Ghost Rider from my local video store, which put it out early last week. A little hokey compared to the 1st part. I have the 1st on BD and I'm a completist, but I will wait until it drops below $10 before I get it. I would love to watch the 90 minute making of documentary on it.

$9.99 for GCB? I'll definitely bite on that. I tuned in just for Kristen Chenoweth, but it was funny as hell and the whole cast was great. Loved the Donna Mills guest shot. I was sure I'd be watching this on Sundays for the next 7 years, but ABC cancelled it. (There's a petition over at SaveGCB.com.)

I agree, I loved the show and still don't understand why ABC cancelled it. I hated the cliffhanger since now we will never know what happened.

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (June 10th - 16th, 2012)
NBC blew it bigtime when they canceled this show. It was a result of stupid decision-making by their previous management in February 2009 I believe, that canceled the show despite the fact it won its timeslot on the last night it aired...and on a Friday night. The producer released the conclusion of the show through his Twitter a year or so ago and it had some interesting storylines to boot, and we even ran a campaign to help bring the show back but all that effort went for naught and NBC hasn't recovered since. We spread the word around how incompetent NBC and their people were and the ratings even to this day are reflecting that. We even asked if there would be a two-hour movie just to clear up the storylines and to bring proper closure to the show, but they said no dice so we got the word out to boycott the network and look at them now...from first to fourth to sometimes, fifth place in the ratings. Those managers/decision-makers have since been fired from the network.

Yet another fine example of when a network makes incomprehensible decisions. Honestly, I haven't watched NBC much since then. The last show was Chuck. I go back and forth between CBS and ABC..and sometimes FOX.
Do you have a link to the Twitter post by any chance? I would really appreciate it!

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (June 10th - 16th, 2012)
Thanks John/snausages! I see where Immortals and Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes are starting to be on sale for a semi-decent price. That's encouaging. Other than that I don't see anything of interest to me in next week's ad.
Regarding NBC (and all the other stations out there that air a decent series then cut it off at the knees just as it's getting started), I don't even watch shows on regular TV anymore. We ditched cable several years ago, and only watch regular TV for the local news. Anything we deem worthy enough to watch, we'll buy on DVD. Suits regularly screw up a good thing, so screw regular TV. -kd5-

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (June 10th - 16th, 2012)
I've heard that once NBC got Sunday Night Football, the NFL asked them to move Las Vegas (then on Mondays) since they weren't comfortable airing commercials about a show set in a casino during the game. Or something to that effect. However it happened, once it was shipped off to Friday, it stopped being a priority for them.

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (June 10th - 16th, 2012)
Not just this show Smearkase, a few others that had loyal followings like American Dreams and such and that started a trend and NBC has been in the crapper since. I wasn't implying that as you might think, but definitely it started a chain reaction of how stupid their management was for CXLing this and a few other shows that had a loyal following and decent ratings and they haven't recovered since from that. Just go back in history when CBS canceled all the popular comedy shows and replaced them with dramas and such and most of those execs got ran out of town in the 1970s. Check the history from 2008 to now for NBC as to their downward trend and there's your proof in the pudding.

Re: Best Buy DVD prices (June 10th - 16th, 2012)
You are correct in what you say Rexxriot...the NFL forced NBC to move Vegas from Monday to Friday nights but the show had their loyal viewers and followed it to that night and time. All us fans just wanted a conclusion to the show and yet NBC couldn't do that much for us fans? Then to hell with NBC!
