'My Criterion' Club - Thoughts on new Criterion Collection club?

Searched the forum and didn't see anything on this so....

What do you all think of Criterion's new 'My Criterion' page?

I personally pre-order all of my CC movies on Amazon. Is the lure of a $50 coupon for every $500 I spend worth joining up?

What thoughts do you have about the other aspects of the club?

A few years ago I would have said it was probably worth it, but my DVD expenditures since about 2009 have been a lot less than when I first started collecting in 2002. So, not worth it to me.

Eh, it's jsut a way to list all of the Criterions you own in one place, and it's free. But any sensible person buys CC discs from Amazon or B&N when they go on sale.

Criterion has had the get a $50 gift certificate for every $500 you spend for years.

Criterion themselves have been having more frequent sales, including some 50%-off everything sales and ongoing 50%-off hulu-themed specials.

Are these better than the BN sales with coupons? No. Can they be a good way to get discs other times of the year? Yes-- and I would imagine that significantly more of your money goes directly to criterion.
