Yes, they are marketplace sellers but they do qualify for Prime shipping, which is a huge plus.

a couple of these I got at Ross for 3.99 and Plastic Man was reported at Big Lots for $3.

I never found it. But since others saw it, I can't bring myself to pay $11.xx for it.

I have most of the others. Definitely, some good prices.

I actually have been on the prowl looking for Plastic Man @ Big Lots since it was first reported, and have been fairly diligent. But to no avail, so, since my Amazon order was up to $19.++, and I was in fact on my way to $25/free shipping, (and I already had all the other really cheap sets I found listed) I went ahead and sprang for it. $11.39 is more than I was hoping to pay for that, but at least I won't be going to BL all the time hoping to find it. (I'll just find it there after my Amazon copy arrives, that's all...)

My $11.39 Plastic Man hasn't shipped yet, so I canceled it. That'll play havoc with the remainder of my open order's once-free shipping, but whatever that ends up costing has to be less than $11.39.

It is not necessarily at every walgreens. Last time reports of things were showing up at Walgreens, and there was nothing good at the stores I went to. I looked for and couldnt find Plastic Man at Big Lots or Ross when it was reported too.

Any recommendations on which Super Friends sets are the best? (I know they're all cheesy/for kids, etc. but I figure some are better than others.) Thanks!

Indy, the answer is always "Anything that did not have Wendy and Marvin in them".

But you still want to get those 2 volumes to have everything Super Friends. :-)

I too have found ONE plasticman at my walgreens. Its a steal at $5.99, its listed as "previewed" but mine is still sealed, with the spine label and such and wasnt cut. Also, no saw cut.

Is this the chronological order of the shows? I always get confused with all of their different SuperFriends Sets.

I've never seen PLASTIC MAN. Is it good or along the same juvenile lines as SUPERFRIENDS and the the others? I enjoy the 60's stuff because it's nostalgia for when I was a kid, but I have no connection to 80's cartoons and don't want something that was strictly intended for 80's kids. There is something about specific era cartoons that don't necessarily translate to kids from another era. ;)

finally found a Plastic Man after only 4 Walgreens ... I really don't think they are at every location because I believe I was the first one to go thru the shipment at one location and there wasn't one.

Other significant finds:

I agree, but it's a superhero cartoon and that makes it worth collecting to me (says the former comic book store owner).

Haven't had a chance to check my local Walgreens, but I'm glad to hear Plastic Man has been found at a discounted price in multiple stores. If I don't see it in store, I would expect to turn up somewhere else eventually. Looks like it can be had via ebay for $8-9 at the moment.
