Silverhawks is four discs, so swapping with Plastic Man will work.

I really enjoy those cheap Outer Limits sets, especially when they were $1.88!

Washington State: Pearl, Tacoma got nothing.

An inside source who shall remain nameless told me that my guess on those big 4 sided displays was correct: they're only coming filled on 2 sides with the expectation that the store will fill the other 2 sides with old stuff from other racks.

Of course I bow to your superior knowledge, but I do have a follow up question: Just who greenlighted this movie? Did someone actually say: "What we need to set the box office on fire is a western starring Chris Kattan!!!" Has anyone ever said what we need is ANYTHING starring Chris Kattan? If only it were 3-D. Sigh.

Forget about Kattan. Navi Rawat is pretty hot. There's also some funny people in it like Matt Besser, Leslie Jordan and Brian Posehn. Not that I would recommend the movie, but for $3, you might like it.

With all respect to Ms Biro's little boy, it was probably more along the lines of "He's still under contract! We gotta do SOMETHING with him!!"

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I stopped by the State Ave. store in KC KS today, it doesn't appear like they've gotten any new DVDs for a few weeks now. I was there a couple three weeks back and it seems like their current stock is the remainders from what they had then -- except for a smaller black cardboard display by the registers that the store probably got in for Memorial Day weekend.

No sign of the large 4 sided display people have been spotting -- I was so hoping to find the Plasticman and Silverhawks sets too. Guess I'll try again in a next week, maybe they'll have the new display in by then.

1. I don't know, but he must have been someone of superior taste and refinement, a man able to spot talent and comedy and dramatic genius ... even if the majority of the populace stays in the dark.

2. I said it and you forgot to add the appropriate amount of exclamation marks:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. yes, the foolish majority have continued to look in vain.

Long live Chris Kattan!!

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

SILVERHAWKS questions (after looking for it at two different BLs with no luck):

- Does it have a title sticker across the top of the case?
- Is the case itself black plastic?
- Is it a thicker case than a regular DVD?

Thanks in advance!!!

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

1. It looks like this, if that helps? (but I don't recall about the title sticker):

2. The Case is clear-ish.

3. I'd say slightly thicker, in the way that a lot of newer TV shows are packaged. But not 2x or 3x normal size.

Good luck.

There are no shortcuts to mining for gold, my friend.

Most likely, you'll have to leaf through every single title to find it. Welcome to the club.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

The SilverHawks I picked up had no tiltle sticker across the top of the clear case, unlike the Plastic Man which did have a title sticker.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Thanks for all the help, guys! Trust me, I've mined for this gold nugget at two BLs now with no success at all. The $8 price tag at amazon is starting to look tempting...

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went for a Saturday drive and visited the Exton and Devon stores. I'd shopped Exton once in late 2010, when they had an absolutely massive DVD selection. I suspect it was a new store then and getting the best of everything. This time it was just the wire rack and a freestanding James Bond display. Selection was still good, just not in the same quantities. Picked up Class and The Sure Thing. No idea how long they'd been there.

In case anyone's interested, Sure Thing listed only the commentary and trivia track as its Special Features, but the disk inside was still the flipper with all the extra featurettes.

I thought I'd shopped Devon before, but found the store very hard to find. They had twice the DVD's but still no tower. Noted 2 copies of Space Ghost V2 and a small trove of $10 TV sets:

Heroes S2 or S3 (?)
Cannon S1 V1 (?)
The Lucy Show (S3?)
Jericho S2
Dave's World
various My Three Sons
and others

They also had perhaps twenty $1 copies of Dirty Sanchez, which might be worth the price for its hard-to-find Viva case. (But it's the variety with the two plastic security tabs.)

I also saw my very first copy of Joey (TV series) at a Ross store!
