I think that is just the Battle of Britain, at least if we are talking the 1969 film...

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Don't know if these have been reported, but I found a number of two packs for $5. Some were "double features" in a single case, others were 2 DVDs sealed together back-to-back

Double Features
Kiss the Girls/The Gift
Kate & Leopold/Serendipity
Emma/Shakespeare in Love
Black Rain/Fatal Attraction
Dakota/In Old California
Uncommon Valor/????
He Said, She Said/Just a Kiss

Sealed Together
Crank/War
Chaos/Bank Job
Pride/Akeelah & the Bee
Rambo/The Punisher
The Women/You've Got Mail DE (This one was marked $6)

Be aware that a couple of these are full screen (Rambo and Crank were ones I remember).

I have noticed a few of the 1.88 titles (A Fish Called Wanda) now priced at $5 in the new batch.
I haven't seen the 3 mentioned at the top here either, & I hit 5 BL's on BF.

Sorry, my error.

Were they mint?

Today went to the Redlands, CA store. Most of the $1.88s are gone.

I did however find (at last) "National Lampoon's Class Reunion" and on a lark, "A Bucket Of Blood".

Yes they were all $1.88 I suspect they labeled them wrong since I saw some of the same titles for $5 and for $1.88. Ive been noticing that in certain Big Lots some movies of the same title have different prices. By the way I went to the Alahambra Big Lots last night and It seems like they put out more of their TV sets because the day before I went and there was no TV sets. Im guessing they are putting out the rest that they had In the back or are returns.

I found and purchased some of the same "rare" titles for $1.88 at some Tri-Cities Washington (Richland & Kennewick ) store(s). And also over at a store in northeastern Oregon (Hermiston). Maybe it just happened in a few west coast store batches ( I can not confirm my home turf of Portland or across the river in Vancouver,WA). But I did find those for $1.88 and thought I was the only one until reading your post

These are some cool titles but $10 is way too much. $6 is fine

I still need a couple of the Twilight Zone boxes & a couple of the New Series Outer Limits boxes. Wish BL would get TV series I actually like! Or how about Ally McBeal?!

I was about to ask how long after BF last year the $10 sets went out. See a few things I'm interested in. I prefer to pay less but there is a lot of sets I would like to have that paying $10 a season isn't the end of the world.

Yeah, Heroes is regularly $9.99 at Target, so why pay $10 at Big Lots?

Many of the ones I mentioned were $6, but a few like the Reaper, Call Girl, According to Jim (I think) and Nurse Jackie (which I forgot to mention) were the higher price. You ask a good question about their profits, but I don't know of a way to make an educated guess. And it's also possible that Best Buy could be taking a loss on something like Reaper for $3.99. I don't know that either, but it seems like that kind of a deal might be a loss leader?

snydar, I saw 2-3 Search for Spock today too (though not First Contact). I was curious, do those editions have extras or features not available in the "Star Trek: Original Motion Picture Collection (The Motion Picture / The Wrath of Khan / The Search for Spock / The Voyage Home / The Final Frontier / The Undiscovered Country + The Captain's Summit Bonus Disc)" set?

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I went to exchange a $1.88 that was a dupe of one that I already had. The cashier wanted to run it through the system (which I guess I can understand, even though they were the same price and same color code), but it wound up really annoying her. When I originally bought it I bought it with a $5.00 title, and the tax with that was a penny different then the tax without it. She tried it three times and each time it wanted to refund me a penny, eventually she just gave up and told me to take the other $1.88.
