Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Eau Claire Wi Big Lots had the BRs for Sanctum, Adjustment Bureau, the Mamma Mia gift pack. All in quantities. Feel like there was one more BR title, but not remembering it.

Did have a bunch of the The Mummy two disc (dvd) and The Mummy Returns two disc (dvd) as well.

If you're in there looking for them, they are on the metal racks behind the registers rather than the cardboard ones when you first come in. Did not look at the DVDs there past a glance-that is full of the same old, same old.

Picked up today:
Anthony and Cleopatra (Charlton Heston)
Legend of the Fist
Heroes of the East (Dragon Dynasty)

I also saw Anne of Thousand Days/Mary Queen of Scots for $3 but didn't pick it up. I'm struggling to find more of those Dragon Dynasty titles - I've only see one other title (in another store) in my haunts. I'd like to pick these up as they're usually good titles.

The Dragon Dynasty titles are tempting, but I swore I'd never pay $3 for a DVD when I may eventually be able to get the BD for $5, I picked up the Jet Li Collection on BD at the last BBY U&S for 5 bucks, so I'll pass on BL stuff once again. I think this is the longest I've ever gone without a BL purchase. (over a month).

As far as I can tell, nothing this week at Pearl. They've still got a lot of $5 & $6.88 leftovers, which I suspect they'll have for awhile. Will "Social Networking" become this year's "Joey"?

The $3 titles are on sale for $2.88 until Friday, I think. I almost bought Gentlemen Broncos, but I have so many unwatched blind buys I didn't want to add another.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went By Pearl (today's usually freight day). Both $3 & $5's were on sale at 12 cents off (YAY!!!!!)!

While I got there lateish & they MAY have been picked over; it appeared that they had received no new $3 titles; & a very small selection of $5's with bright red stickers. Only $5 title worth mentioning imo, was My Cousin Vinnie.

There were possibly a few new (not certain on the new) $7 titles, some Fox $10 TV series (all I remember was Boston legal) & several Family Guy PARTIQAL SEASONS at $12 each. Looked like they'd gotten restock on the same 10 $6.88 Blu titles also (Somewhere In Africa, Wolfman remake, etc). Still had 1 mama Mia Deluxe @ $6.88.

Walked out empty handed.........

several Family Guy PARTIAL SEASONS at $12 each.

I just played the Family Guy slot machine in Atlantic City for the first time (which was hysterically funny), so this is tempting. But partials.....

Only the first 2 volumes of Family Guy are full seasons. Volume 1 has S1 & S2 while Volume 2 has S3. Starting with Volume 3 they went to half-season releases with each volume containing 13-14 episodes. So S4 is V3 & V4, S5 is V5 & V6, etc.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

@ Capitol Dr. store I only picked up Frankenstein Unbound for $2.88.

I saw DVDs of the Bourne trilogy for $6.88 each movie. And 2 copies of Legend of the Black Scorpion, which is a dragon dynasty title, on blu for $5. 2 weeks ago they had a few dragon dynasty titles on DVD, and I picked up a few, but they're gone now and no restock on those has occurred since then, which is the reason I went back today.

Really?

I never saw that. I'll keep my eyes out.

Did S1 come with a slipcover/slipcase?

The one I got did not have a slipcase and I don't recall seeing one on other copies.

I'll grab Frankenstein Unbound if I can find it. I remember watching that a long time ago on HBO, probably when I was in high school, and I found it surprisingly interesting.

That's exactly my memory of it too. Whatever I had expected, it was different and better than I had thought. I am going to look for that also.
