Found the the 20th anniversary steelbook edition (DVD) of Robocop for $4.00 after discount.
That's a good deal.

Ollies is based here in south-central PA, and I've shopped there for probably 30 years. While they may be a BL competitor overall, their media selection still doesn't match up. They get interesting stuff sometimes...boxed sets, special packaging, old or unusual titles I've never heard of, etc...but new shipments are infrequent and most of their current offerings are bargain titles you'd expect to find at K-Mart or some dollar store. There is an Ollies thread somewhere in this forum and I was likely the last person to contribute.

The BL near me got the $3 blu's today. I picked up The Sessions on the prior recommendation of Helen Hunt sans clothing. Just started it. My Oppo will play it, but I've never seen so many java copy guards in my life. It took over 2 minutes to get to the film after inserting the disc.

Re DVD's: They got restock of the Artist @ $5, & Dr Parnassus (sic) at $3.00. Not much else worth mentioning.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I continue to believe that the #1 reason BL is getting garbage is because oldies.com is paying 2-3 times more to the studios then BL was for their overstocks.

This is SUPPOSED to be a "blow-out sale"???

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Found lots of new stuff (to me, at least) at a store this morning. Picked up a bunch of $3 BDs which I listed here.

Of some interest on the DVD side:

Resident Evil Trilogy (original, Apocalypse, Extinction) - $5
Heath Ledger Multipack (I think it was the films found in this set, but don't quote me since the front looked different) - $5

Is Oldies is direct with the studios?

I go long periods of time with no coupons from Big Lots, especially ones that are worthwhile. But I woke up to my 2nd $5 off $15 in the last month or so.

I've been getting $5 off $20. Not worth bothering with. I probably would use a $5 off $15.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Well, I noticed last week at the Griffin Ga store, and today at the Fayetteville store that they are already discounting the $20 sets to $14. $14 sets are $5! $8 are also $5. Perhaps they did this on purpose to make them look like a super deal? Or did the sales tank on the $20?

Thanks! I've not been there for a month or more (since before the last 20% weekend sale even), but if some of those $14 tv sets are now $5 then I hope I can pick up a couple.

Did you pick any up, or did you just see clearance signs/stickers? I checked at my store and found Friday Night Lights rang up $5, but the Office was still $8. I didn't check House or any of the $8 turquoise stickers.

I had a $5 off $20 coupon so I picked up:

Friday Night Lights seasons 3, 4 & 5
Kalifornia (blu-ray)

The tag for Friday Night Lights is yellow and the SKU for every season should be: 810234665

Thanks for the heads up. Hit my closest store and confirmed similar discounts, though the selection at this place has not been great.

I could have picked up 2 seasons of Glee for $5 each (originally $14) or Pretty Little Liars for $14 (originally $20)

My store had a single copy of Breaking Bad: Season 1. Still priced at $14.50.

I was going to post a pic I had taken, but apparently I somehow deleted all photos on my phone
The Griffin GA store had a few, like Glee with new $5.00 clearance stickers on them . Fayetteville store had one of their own little construction paper tags showing the different prices $20=$14, $14=$5 , etc. All had their original price tags on them. Southland, season 1 and Season 5 , which originally had $8 stickers on them, had clearance stickers showing them being $4, for some reason

Thanks for the update. Southland was in the first wave of TV shows, several of which were marked down to $4 earlier this year (Gilmore Girls, Gossip Girl, Nip/Tuck, & the O.C. were the others).

Just saw that out here in California, but didn't care for any of the titles.

Also saw the Wes Craven flick, Red Eye DVD marked at $3.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Finally got a $5 off $15 coupon.

Bought the following:

Moving McAllister DVD $3 (Magnolia Home Entertainment)
Harper DVD $3 (Paul Newman)
Red Hill DVD marked at $3, but rang up at register at $2.10 (30% off clearance item)
The Factory DVD $3 (John Cusack)
4 Film Favorites: George Clooney (Ocean's Eleven/Michael Clayton/Three Kings/Perfect Storm) DVD $5 (also included digital UV copies, expires 10/15/15) Note: The digital UV code sheet was inside the keepcase, but there was no indication on the outside package that digital UV was included, a nice surprise.

All prices are before coupon discount.

Hey, I got a coupon too! That Clooney set has 4 good films, usually they slip in a turd or two in those bundles. Is that on 2 double-sided discs or what?

4 discs with digital copies:

IMG 0021<br /

On the back of the case, all 4 films are supposed to be widescreen 16x9 and all have commentaries and other extras. Sometimes the descriptions can be in error. These discs look to be leftover single discs that have been repackaged into a 4 film set.

Do you know the SKU for Red Hill or what color the sticker was?

Sticker says 550 06 002 Brown

SKU 145 810212359 2 084

Receipt shows "BROWN ACT/ADV AUG $3"
"810212359 1 @ 2.10"

Notes: the price of $2.10 on the receipt is before the $5 off $15 coupon. Also, I assume "AUG" is August of 2014, so this dvd has been sitting around for about a year?
