Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

The copy of it I found was the only one ours had. Our other BigLots is pretty much worthless these days, I was surprised to find this one had what they did. They also had a big TV display, mostly Gilmore Girls and that ilk, but they also had Fringe seasons for $8 apiece. If I hadn't already bought Fringe, now would've been a good time to pick them up...

For the Dread Pirate Edition aficionados, which is the original cover for this release? The one I posted above...

Or this one:

Both. The first is the cover artwork, and the second is the slipcover. See the photos (and captions) at http://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-me...e=UTF8&index=3 .

Incidentally, there's a guy at EBay selling a case (30) of these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Princess...item3f3822392a .

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

went today and found GL and JLA. Got there when the store opened and there were 3 copies of each. Had everything else I might have been interested in but the DVD steelbooks, Gia BD and the Princess Bride Pirate Ed. Don't know if I care enough to drive 30 min. for these, but got what I really wanted. BTW, neither GL or JLA had slips, which some have reported seeing.

Also, the TV set display was restocked, which I've never seen BL do before. They usually just have new displays.

Thanks for the info on the cover(s).

I saw that at Ebay while I was looking to see if I'd gotten any kind of a good deal. $250 for 30 of them, $8.33 each. I suppose if you wanted to gamble that you could make a little money selling them individually, I suspect it would end in frustration though I could be wrong. Oh well, I got my one.....for $5... Minus the slipcover...

You were on the mark with this. Discovered a complete reset of the 2 for $14 TV display today.

Nothing else was new at this particular store.

Bounty Killer is a real fun movie, kind of like a Mad Max that doesn't take itself too seriously.

The finale is a thing of beauty; very much like the climactic gun battle in "Equilibrium". It was a blind buy on release week - recommended.

Picked up "District 9: 2 - Disc Edition"; I damaged my copy (disc 2). Opened and found three DVDs. This is the three disc exclusive set sold by Wal-Mart in 2009. I already own it. This did not come with the slipcover. Not sure if all the copies have this bonus disc.

I loved Bounty Killer as well, but it is streaming on Netflix, if you want to save yourself $3.

Why not? I'm not gonna use it. And besides; I'm having a good day - a lot better than yesterday.

First come - first served. *nod*

Vudu DC for "Bounty Killer"...

[code be gone]

expires on 10/31/16

Enjoy!

Oh yeah, their copies of "Poseidon: Two - Disc Special Edition" ($5.00) does not come with the slipcover (was a lenticular).

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

At the NoHo store on Vineland Avenue they've restocked the WB TV sets, it's completely full now. The ones that were a little harder to find (like Southland and Fringe) are now well stocked.

Spotted a few new $5 blus:

GIA
Green Lantern (no slip)
Let the Bullets Fly (with slip)
Contagion

Also, they got a new batch of $3 movies, a lot of the ones people have mentioned. But a few I haven't seen mentioned were some Universal double and triple features:

The Legacy / The Sentinel / SSsssss
Sudden Death / The Quest
Long Time Dead / My Little Eye / Hood Rat
Snow White / Darkman 2 / Firestarter 2
Trespass / The Hunted

I'd have some interest in the Mel Brooks 2 discs at $3, but not at $5.

Weird how BB, Target, Wallymart, K-Mart etc are lowering their dvd prices, & BL are raising there's.

Most (but not all) of these showed up at Puyallup WA. Also, a sign was up for a 2-day sale (Sunday Monday) $3 titles are 2 for $5

It looked like they were scanning at $2.50 rather than being adjusted, so you shouldn't have to buy in multiples of 2 or even buy more than one.

I also picked up a copy of the Sugar Ray Leonard & Laila Ali boxing workout 2-pack. It was marked $10, but rang up $1. The SKU was 810067841, if anyone is interested. And there was no clearance sign to be found.

It's starting to look like Puyallup is the only Pierce County store getting any real dvd stock anymore. It's a long enough drive for me that I need to see better titles before making the trip.
