Of course you have to be open minded on the main topic of weed. Excellent performances by the entire cast and especially Kevin Nealon (who prior to this series I only marginally liked).
I give this series a big
I own all the seasons and eagerly look forward to each new season on DVD.

Wallmart:
Saw the above mentioned tv titles on a special display at Sam's Club for $18.88 plus The Sopranos, John Adams, Deadwood, and Rome. So there is a possibility that these titles will be in the $10 bins at Walmart on Black Friday.

Maybe, but I doubt I'll find a new release for less than that even if they're going to throw it back in the vault. I'd love to pay just $3.96 for it like I did for the other 7 at Walmart the other day but I doubt that'll happen anytime soon, unless you know something I don't. -kd5-

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread
I'm sorry but I'm new at this. When the Black Friday Sales start, do I have to go to the stores to get the sale, or can I go to their websites and buy them online without spending hours on line in front of the store?

Depends MooMooMooMoo. This year Wal-Mart will start BF at 10pm, Thursday. If you arrive around nine, the line to get inside isn't too bad. Look about and find the areas of your target. The DVDs are held inside cardboard racks and sealed plastic; won't be open until ten. Get done quick, leave quick. It will be busy, but for the most part NOT as bad as later. Later will be a massive, massive mess.
This year will be my fourth outing.
I'm still waiting on info for Big Lots.
My game plan is going around 9pm to Wal-Mart, leave about 11 or so, go to bed. Wake up about four and go to Big Lots. The line there is usually big. The store is next door to a Target, so I'll give them a look.
After both stores I'm heading off to Best Buy then back to Wal-Mart. They're going to have more DVDs on sale at 8AM.
My BF will be a hectic. I for one love it. It's exciting. Two years ago I was in Upland and the police showed up. Nothing happened at the Wal-Mart I was at. But a nearby store (another Wal-Mart) had a full riot. They closed down the store. They were afraid pissed off customers from there would come here. Every few minutes on the loud speaker they would say, 'please stay calm'.
Good times.

I have stuff I'm gonna pick up at Target & Best Buy and I will check Wal-Mart(and T & BB) for there "more in-store".
Upset that the Chuck Season 4 Blu-Ray,and Middle Season 2 arent on sale as neither of them have had any kind of price drop. $40 for Chuck and $35 for Middle are just to damn much. Also wish that the Clone Wars Season 3 Blu-Ray was on sale like the 1st 2 seasons were the last 2 years.

Something that needs to be said for newbies.
Wear sensible shoes.
You're going to do a lot of walking and or standing.
Comfortable shoes; good for Black Fridays and the zombie apocalypse.

Worth noting that Target has promised that their Price Match policy this year will include Black Friday (with an original printed ad). Not sure if the employees will be clear on that, but it sounds promising:

I'll get what I get online and that's it. No way I'm getting in the middle of that madness. Best Buy has also been getting better about putting their BF stuff online.

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread
This year will be my first time going to Best Buy on Black Friday... Followed by Wal-Mart.
After seeing how unorganized the local Target was last year, I'm just going to skip them this year.
Like someone else on here, I'm waiting to see what Big Lots will have this year.

I hope these stores have product when the normal Black Friday crowd shops in the morning. I hate that these stores are opening at midnight, +/- an hour or 2, the night before, and all these crazy people are going to be thrashing about the stores in the wee hours of the morning when us normal people are sleeping peacefully waiting for our Black Friday morning at the stores, only to find everything's already gone. I predict there are going to be alot of pissed off people come Black Friday during normal business hours, and I may very well be one of them. But neither my wife nor I want to subject ourselves to that insanity the night before. -kd5-

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread
That seems like good advice, thanks. I stopped by WM today and picked up their print ad (it wasn't out but they pulled one for me out of a box). It does mention "limited quantities". Nothing else that should cause a problem, but I'll stop by a couple of Targets tomorrow and ask Cust Service. If they say okay then that's great, and I'll ask them to sign the ad or a note to prevent any problems on BF. If not, then at least I'll know.

If you're looking for a doorbuster deal, what difference does it make waiting in line from 9pm - 12 am vs. 2am - 5am which people were doing last year (hell, even earlier for some). If you're just looking for DVDs & Blu-rays, I remember in the past couple years I've seen plenty left at noontime. This year could be different, however. As the store ads clearly state, everything has a limited quantity.

My friends that work in various levels of the company didn't swear me to secrecy
Big Lots $1.88 dvd's and some of the other stuff they are doing
this year, is sorta lackluster compared to what they did last year.

I was there for Circuit City's final BF around 4am. The big item people wanted was a laptop. As we got close to opening they gave out tickets for the computer. Even before the doors opened, it sold out. I was in front of one of those folks, pissed.

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread
Re BL, Based on the information I have I wouldn't assume there will be huge lines. Since the $1.88 dvd's have already been posted by someone else, here's what little else I THINK I know:
1. I have been told the $1.88 dvd's are pretty much the same titles we've seen the last 2 months
2. The $5 xmas & $6 2 disc sets are likely also going to be tied into BF at those prices.
I.E., nothing like 2 years ago where we got the $2 box set bonanza.

Re: Black Friday 2011 - The DVD thread
Looks like both the Big Lots $3 and $5 titles are $1.88. They have current $5 titles pictured in the ad. Although the ad does state "priced as marked." So I wonder if there is a batch with the $1.88 price tags. Also in the ad are the Paramount and WB double features for $4.88. X-mas dvds for 4.00.
