What the hell is Target pulling? The usual $4.99 titles are now $7.00? Assuming those are the DVD versions since we're in the DVD bargains forum. After seeing that, I won't even check in-store for unadvertised deals this week.

any video games? specifically Nintendo DS games?

I'm picking up Cars 2, loaning the dvd from the combo back to my brother & sister in law and if my 4 1/2 year old nephew likes it, he'll get his own copy for Christmas.

On SD there's a big thread about how Target is supposedly doing a Buy 2 Get 1 Free on all video games next week, but I don't know about any specific titles. I still probably won't buy anything because even with B2G1F the prices would still be over $10 each and I have a <= $10 rule on most video games (just like on most BDs). There are exceptions but I stick within that most of the time. Now if I didn't have to work and had time so that I could play what I bought, then I'd probably be willing to pay more. For the most part anything I buy sits on my shelves unopened for months (or years) so why pay more than $10?

I don't see anything worthwhile to me in the ad, nothing to cause me to run to the store with my wallet in my outstretched hands, but I'll more than likely check out the store on Sunday or Monday anyway, you never know what you might find. -kd5-

^^^ I agree. Given the incompleteness of their printed ads lately, I think it's assumed that if anyone spots some good sale titles at Target that they will post them here. Also, since these weekly Target and BB threads are only in the DVD forum, I take that to mean BD deals will be posted in this thread too.

Sometimes I think it would be cool to allow shortcuts in both the DVD and BD forums which point to the same thread for threads like this. Though I rarely buy DVDs any more (except dirt cheap ones at BL IF they have something I want in stock), I still have to look at the DVD forums just in case there is some BD talk there.

There hasn't been many deals at Target in a while. Their recent update to the DVD section results in fewer real deals that hang around for longer. But also remember we're within spitting distance of the holiday sales, so holding off will bear some fruit.

Sorry about the lack of CD info.

There is only so much that's being reported.

I'll post music on Sunday. Man I miss the days when Speedy would post full page scans. Everything was easy to search.

My visit to the store did not yield any surprises except one: I saw SALE stickers on Tales From The Crypt, Seasons 1&2 and 3&4 bundles for $19.99 ea. Lift up the SALE stickers and the regular price is $19.99 ea.

What a crock...-screwy-

BTW, I picked both of those up awhile back when they had them on sale for $16.99 ea., which made seasons $8.50 apiece. Not bad...;) -kd5-
