Assuming you pay no sales tax. In some parts of California its actually a loss by a few cents. I assume its probably similar in other states.

That's of course true for many CA residents. Though my intention was to speak about it in a general way, rather than to my specific circumstances. I assumed that not every State has a sales tax close to 10%, and I thought that not every State taxes on online purchases (though I might be mistaken) so hoped that this deal might be of value to at least some people.

I got two copies and it came out to around $20 each with sales tax and free in-store pickup.

Are the trade-in prices at Amazon for sealed copies or used? If the latter, someone who got the set from BB and decided not to keep it after watching it could pretty much get their money back from Amazon (less the cost to ship it to them). Just a thought if someone's on the fence.

Of course, the trade-in price could change by the time you watch the set. Nothing's guaranteed to last.

I've been holding off on this because I wanted the BD set since I have the BD of the first season, but since that one wasn't on sale as well (would have been nice if it had been $25 or something) I just caved and bought this one instead. I haven't gotten a chance to finish season 2 so I'm happy I got it one way or another. The BD set (both seasons) are ridiculously overpriced!

On another note, I find it funny that the whole season 2 is $18 yet the 2nd volume of season 2 is $30!!

Thank you OP! This is a great deal. I did in-store pickup, but my local store had this advertised on the shelf as well. (And if your in-store pickup is like mine, where you have to wait in an endless line amongst those buying, returning, getting Geek Squad help, and doing instore pickup you may just want to go buy it).

Got the first season in BLU ray for around $32 last year, but will be okay getting the second season on regular DVD for only $18 (unless the BLU goes for $15 or something like that on some Amazon lightning deal next month, then I will be cursing this purchase.)

Last Black Friday, Glee Complete Season One was $15 so I'd expect Glee Complete Season Two to be the same price this year. I'll wait as I need several for Xmas presents...

i cannot answer for them, but for myself i am part Scottish and all frugal.
If i know i saved 1 dollar it is worth it for me to wait. I can say that as i have a large stock of things still unopened, so i can wait for things i dont "need" but want.

I really like Tom Waits so i pre ordered his cd and do not care if it eventually drops. I guess for me the line is want vs need, and for things i do not need, the joy is getting it for as cheaply as possible.
