ABC Television on DVD Deals?
 

Do this year's crop of ABC TV on DVD (Brothers and Sisters Season 5, Housewives Season 7, etc.) have any deals as in previous years? Last year, each season set had a $10 off coupon included for purchase of another set, one year there was a rebate program.

Any information?

Not sure about the coupon, but BB has a buy 3, get a $10 gift card. Some of the ABC titles are part of the deal.

As with past years, each of this year's ABC TV-DVD titles do indeed include the $10 coupon. I bought Off the Map last Tuesday and it was included, so it should be with all the rest as well.

Yes, for those who want and don't own Charlie's Angels or The Partridge Family, it works out to a little under $7 each + tax. Amazon had most of these for $8.49 a while ago, so it's not a huge savings. I'm surprised they haven't shown up at Big Lots for $5 or $6 yet (but then Big Lots has been lagging lately).

When does this year's coupon expire? I remember last year we were able to get some sweet deals before the coupon expired. I got Scrubs for free, and Castle for 5 bucks...

It expires on December 31, 2011. What was pretty awesome is I went to Best Buy to get Cougar Town & Parenthood, and was planning on using my $10 coupon on Cougar Town. I had figured out in my head that, with the coupon, I wouldn't qualify for the $10 gift card special. To my surprise, I ended up with the gift card anyways, as my cashier rang it up before he ever entered the coupon, which ended up indeed bringing my total to less than $50. It ended up being a pretty sweet deal.

I'm definitely springing for Body of Proof and Castle S3. If anyone else doesn't want the coupon, I wouldn't mind getting one to use...

Wow! I'm sorry this post made you so angry.....I thought I had done right by including the question mark in the thread title. I could understand your frustration if I hadn't included the question mark and you readers entered hoping to find deals I was telling everyone about. But then again, this is only a message board about DVD deals--no big deal.

Is there any way you can tell which sets have the $10 coupon. It's apparent some pressings have them (in-store B&M) but online ones don't.

I've read the previous threads from the previous years, and you can tell which ones have a coupon because there's a special UPC sticker on the back of the plastic. Does that apply to this year's offer too?

The g/f bought Cougar Town S2 from Amazon and it did have the $10 coupon inside the keepcase. (She was going to throw the coupon away, but I grabbed it out of her hands.)

The $10 coupon is good on the following:

Off the Map: The Complete Series Aug 23rd release

Brothers and Sisters: S5 Aug 23rd release

Cougar Town: S2 Aug 30th release

Desperate Housewives: S7 Aug 30 release

Grey's Anatomy: S7 Sept 13th release

Private Practice: S4 Sept 13th release

Castle: S3 Aug 30th release

Body of Proof: S1 Sept 20th release

The coupon expires on December 31, 2011.

There was a thread on this last year when Target put them on sale for $19.99 each ($9.99 after coupon if I remember) after Christmas, but before December 31, 2010.

In addition, there is also a $5 coupon attached for Army Wives: S5.

These ABC series are packaged in a semi clear/opaque keep case so you can kinda see the loose coupon floating around inside if you can jiggle the keepcase and spot it from the edges...

From last year's discussion, it seems that only the initial stock had the coupons. Restocks did not, so I guess it is a YMMV as it was last year.

That's a nice deal for Body of Proof since it's a short season. I know I saw Desperate Housewives on the Amazon Visa Chase list as well.
