The Complete Lone Wolf & Cub Boxset (Region 2) - £9.99 @ Amazon.co.uk

I've had this in my cart for the longest time and it's sat at around £40. I checked today and couldn't believe it when I saw that it dropped to £9.99. It comes to ~$18 after shipping. Link

This is a 7-disc set that includes:

Disc 1 - Sword of Vengeance
Disc 2 - Baby Cart at the River Styx
Disc 3 - Baby Cart to Hades
Disc 4 - Baby Cart in Peril
Disc 5 - Baby Cart in the Land of Demons
Disc 6 - White Heaven in Hell
Disc 7 - Shogun Assassin

Thanks for this. It is kind of a blind buy for me. Also, in re: the long shipping...I ordered one of the remastered Black Sabbath CDs from AUK, and it came super fast. Less than a week, if not like 4 days. I was pretty impressed.

That's a heck of a deal. This set is from Eureka so I imagine the quality is excellent.

One question, are these unedited? I remember SHOGUN ASSASSIN was banned in the UK for years and was edited from the first two films. I know it was unbanned in the past decade, but I wouldn't be shocked if some of the latter films did have some editing as they were easily more violent than the first few.

I have the R1 Animeigo release and was very satisfied even for $100, but this is a pretty amazing deal.

This is amazing news, I've been waiting on an affordable price on these movies for quite a while. Might add in the Female Prisoner Scorpion set for only £7.99 before VAT as well.

All films are uncut and remastered in NTSC, region free for this set.

Amazon pages says PAL, not NTSC.

Awesome series. Well worth the bucks.

SO tempted, but I've got Shogun Assassin on Blu already. Still the rest of the series...and my region free player has seen little use lately. I may have to pick this up.

Are these films gory? I've never seen them.

Like, over the top cartoon gore. Arms/ears/etc cut off, 100 psi blood spurts, etc.

OK, thanks for the info. I don't think it's for me then.

Probably not but just FYI it's fairly tame by today's standards.

Amazon's page is frequently wrong on that part. I have the discs and they are definitely NTSC and region free.

Do you have the UK set from Amazon, or one you picked up locally? Because it's kind of odd that Amazon.UK would be selling discs the majority of their customers couldn't use.

I don't have this set but in Australia which is a PAL country NTSC dvd's a fairly common especially on more niche items. My Sports Night complete series is NTSC along with a number of WWE titles. Almost all TV's and DVD players sold here in recent years handle NTSC fine.

This.

PAL players can handle NTSC just fine.

I own the UK set, and I've checked, rechecked, and checked again. NTSC Region Free. Anyone who is complaining "Darn I don't have a region free player" should have no complaints here.

The DVDbeaver review confirms this: "Each progressive all-region disc use NTSC masters from Japan, so there is no PAL/NTSC conversion issues."

Thanks! I've been waiting for this set to drop.

Also, just to echo SethDLH, the Female Prisoner Scorpion boxset is well worth the £7.99 price tag. I can confirm that they are region free as well.

Can you also confirm that they're uncut?
