I'm all for separate threads on some of these new sales simply because the generic store threads can become too long and unwieldy to navigate. The VIEW FIRST UNREAD feature on this site rarely works the way it's supposed to, so I support a new thread alerting people to a sale/deal/bargain rather than always tacking it onto an already bursting at the seams thread.

on blu are all 27.99 at the moment. that means with a b2g1 sale and a 10% coupon you lower the price per title down to around $16.

Also, it appears BN has Pierrot le fou in stock.

Fixed! It says Pierrot Le Fou is available in 1 to 2 weeks on the web site.

If you were strictly going to buy online for the Criterion sale it wouldn't be a bad idea to get some of these titles with the b2g1 sale since there is a good chance of online coupon restrictions during the Criterion sale.

Last night The Great Dictator was priced at 35.96, because I would have rather ordered it.

I think there needs to be one thread for the DVD bargains, and one thread discussing organization for a Blu thread, as some people only venture to only one of those areas.

Perhaps we need to open a thread discussing if there should be one or two threads to discuss the organization of threads.

If you have a membership I would assume there could be some 20% to 15% store coupons during the sale. There is still a $5/$50 that should work also.

I should add it's not a bad idea to buy some of these Criterions now regardless where you plan to shop during the sale since it is a good price. I purchased 3 myself a couple of days ago from the list for about $15 each shipped total utilizing every discount I could.

..i just wish that the sale occurred later, i wanted to get "the killing" and "carlos" but they both come out after the sale ends...wish there were some way i could get both at the 50% off rate..oh well..

DVD-only titles? All the new releases get Blu treatment now.

I think the last Dvd-only title they put out was L'enfance nue. That was in August of 2010.

I've been getting Criterion BDs for around 15-17 dollars during the B&N B2G1 and the Deep Discount sale so there won't be nearly as much for me to get during the Criterion sale. I'll get some sets and try to get some pre-orders.

On a related note, yesterday I found a nearly new copy of the Criterion DVD of The Third Man at FYE for $25. I had a 30% off coupon and a membership so it only cost me $17 and change. I wish it had been Blu but I'm happy with the DVD.
