You can post caps.
Here are the Rain Caps. In each case, Roan is the top, Image is the bottom. I did a crummy job of matching up the first one, sorry. It does show some motion artifacts in the Roan, though. http://www.dandylionrecords.com/Pics/1.jpg http://www.dandylionrecords.com/Pics/2.jpg http://www.dandylionrecords.com/Pics/3.jpg |

Moo, many thanks for the detailed comparison of the two RAINs. I'm glad there is not a drastic difference between the two as I would hate to learn that I erroneously sold my Roan in favor of the Image version. And I completely agree with you about it being one of Crawford's best films.
So now that us Roan aficionados have emerged from the UNDERGROUND, maybe we should start an official ROAN thread?;) |

The only thing I know about Roan/Troma is Troma bought Roan for a ridiculous amount of money a few years ago & than ran it into the ground.
I'm actually curious how future commentaries with Lloyd will go. He's always complaining about Hollywood, ignoring that it was a big part of their company until they had some failures which forced them to not get in theaters anymore. Now big bad Hollywood is doing remakes of a bunch of their films, including a PG-13 version of The Toxic Avenger. Mother's Day is another one I read they were also doing. That being said, I'd like to get something out of this sale but the cheapest titles I want are $10 and up. They're trying to get $20 for the non-anniversary edition of Cannibal: The Musical. I'm not sure what the strategy for that is, considering if I just bought that, they throw on $5 more for shipping. I could understand it if there was something special about ordering it from them but when one can get it much cheaper someplace else, I don't know why they wouldn't. |

Amazing to see talk of Roan, I thought no one was aware of them! :) Did the people behind Roan run out of money? |

Thanks for motivating me to put Underground in the player. I was totally unfamiliar with any of the actors, but I really enjoyed it a lot.
Yeah, not the best known cast for sure, but a few Germans actors( or in the case of Philip Dorn, starred in German films) who were run out of Germany are in this film, including THE Nazi swine official, Martin Kosleck. If the name doesn't ring a bell, the face will if you have watched a fair number of 40's films... http://serbianna.com/blogs/savich/wp...1/kosleck1.jpg Wonder how why Warner forgot to re-up on the rights of this film??? |

I still have Tromo films from the 25 cent sale they did over 10 years ago. Unopened.
