Salt, 127 hrs, Despicable Me BDs were $12.99 and $14.99 at the stores near me in SoCal.

Blockbuster 3/20, 5/20 deals used to be a staple for me. No more. They closed all 4 stores that were convenient to my location. And driving across town in heavy traffic to look through what has become a weak selection of DVDs that no longer (mostly) have any extras doesn't appeal--for some reason. So to the new owners of Blockbuster, I raise my middle finger.

I was told by a manager yesterday that Blockbuster would be having a $1.99 DVD sale on Labor Day. Hopefully, it's chain-wide and the selection is better than the regular $0.99 stuff they've been offering lately.

Sadly not all stores have the same prices. I've proven it in a few instances. Despicable Me BD was definitely $9.99 at my store, and 127 Hours BD was definitely $9.99 in the previous sale. I checked it this time (in an attempt to find 5 titles) and it was the higher price. So apparently some titles can increase in price even though I thought they were supposed to keep going down until they sell. Besides, we're talking BDs which should be in the BD thread. I never look at DVDs when I go to BB.
