(DEAD) $20 Amazon.com Gift Card for $10

That's right pay $10 to get $20 Amazon.com Gift Card

Pay just $10 and get a $20 gift card to use at Amazon.com, the largest online retailer. Whether you are looking for something usual, like a book, or a DVD you can get it at Amazon.com

http://livingsocial.com/deals/21336-...-com-gift-card

Want to know something even sweeter...get it your's for free (by signing up 3 other friends to your account and your $20 gift card is free).
Theres about 18 hours left on this deal so don't procrastinate any longer.

Re: $20 Amazon.com Gift Card for $10

I think they locked down on that "if you and three friends buy it, you get yours free" deal because my girlfriend used my referral link and they said "can't use Deal Bucks on this deal." It says she's getting charged the full $10.

Some idiots on SD are trying to sell these on Ebay for a $2 profit. Who would waste that much of their time for a $2 profit?!?

Actually they will increase their profit from $10 to $12, since they paid $10 and got $22 cash in return. They will have a cash profit instead of a purchase discount. What's even more bizarre on eBAY are sellers charging anywhere from $0.01 to $0.99 just to provide buyers with the link to Social Living to get the discounted card.

You're right, the $2 quoted by another FW member was off. But my question is, who's going to pay $2 MORE than the GC price? They're going to get LESS than $20, maybe more like $18 or $19, obviously not counting the shill bidding that angry SD or FW users are doing on the auctions. You also forgot paypal and ebay fees. In the end, if they do get $19, they're looking at around a $4.79 profit.

There's an article about this deal on the NY Times website, which says:

"As of 3:15 p.m., with nearly 17 hours remaining to purchase coupons, LivingSocial had already sold 711,870 coupons for $7,118,700. It seems to be on track to surpass Groupon’s $11 million in sales of the Gap coupon."

It's over 900,000 now!

Here's the link to the complete article: http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/0...n-discount/?hp

Interesting in seeing if the multiple purchases using different e-mails will work out...I tried a few different e-mails, but I have a feeling only one will end up getting me a gift card.

Groupon did one that was get a $10 Amazon gc for $5. While this one is twice as good, it's not unreasonable. What was too good to be true was that movie ticket site that gave you tickets for $5. I miss that site.

They are going to have a large volume of complaints since a lot of us who got in on this early for $5.00 were actually charged $10.00 even though our end final price on checkout clearly stated $5.00

Re: $20 Amazon.com Gift Card for $10

Got email confirmations that my friends purchased this deal, thus leading to me getting mine for free. Hope they live up to that!

Re: $20 Amazon.com Gift Card for $10

I got an email confirmation that I purchased the gift card, but I don't like the wording:

We'll send you an email tomorrow letting you know how you can get your Amazon Gift Card* code

They make it sound like I'll have to work for it. Maybe fill out a survey or something?

I got the same email....I hate this cat and mouse stuff too.

Also, since my card was already charged, I better just get an email code tomorrow. Not some stupid survey to "unlock" it.

Is this a new company/website?

If so, it wouldn't be the first time a new company got in way over their head with a promotion
