Sounds like a great deal, but what if they go bankrupt before you get to use it?

Re: Pay $200, Get $600 Credit for Full Moon

I can't copy and paste the fine print, but basically you get $200 in credit per year, for 3 straight years. This offer is limited to 900 cards, but I highly highly highly highly doubt they will get 900 people to do this. My big question is, can you use the credit on SALE items. If so, this is a good deal. But if it is only valid on their retail prices, then it is an easy pass for me.

I tried using my membership discount, no dice. Not that I was going to get it anyway, but it would have been more of an incentive.

That's a hell of an offer, but I'd be hard pressed to find $200 worth of stuff that I genuinely want each year.

Yea, knowing if you could use the 'evergreen card' with sales, fan club card, etc would be a big factor.
(And if Full Moon will still exist....but band refuses to go away, so we're probably ok)

There was nothing that said you couldn't use it with sales. It's just a refillable gift card. I picked it up Sunday and only plan to use it during sales. I'm tempted to get a replica but it still feels like throwing away $200 I could use on something else, like Murdercycle.

Re: Pay $200, Get $600 Credit for Full Moon

I wonder if this would combine with their Fan Club additional 10% off ($35 in additional savings?).

Since I have so much free time I went though their entire store and was only able to find $639 of stuff I wanted (thats full price so assuming I wait for sales $319.64).

But depending on new items they released....

Also I can't find the answer to this one but does your card always go back to just $200? Say if you had $10.73 left over at the end of the year, would the next year bee $210.75 or just $200?

Re: Pay $200, Get $600 Credit for Full Moon

I was wondering that too. That'd be cool. I've picked up a lot of the box sets cheap through the sales over the years, but would consider doing 3 replicas and some dvds.
Those are good questions about a balance, etc. FM would probably keep the records on index cards with our names and our purchases

I meant, could you buy this, use it to buy a membership and then get the extra 10% with other purchases.

Re: Pay $200, Get $600 Credit for Full Moon

I asked:

1.Can the gift card be used with your annual sales?***YES***

2. Does your card always go back to just $200? Say if you had $10.73 left over at the end of the year, would the next year bee $210.75 or just $200? ***Yes, your balance “rolls over” every year***

3. Can the gift card be used in conjunction with the Fan Club 10% off (during sales)? ***Yes. The gift card can be used on ALL purchases at fullmoondirect.com, including sale prices and in conjunction with your fan card***

4. Are you guys going to be coming out with new products in the next 3 years (I have already bought most of what I wanted from you guys). *** YES! Lots of big plans for 2011 and 2012 already. Many new films, including the GDM 3 and Evil Bong 3, Blu-Ray releases of classic and new film, replicas, shot glasses, zippo lighters, shirts, box sets, and more.

Re: Pay $200, Get $600 Credit for Full Moon

Here's an interesting question. So if you buy the card NOW, you get $200. Do you get another $200 on January 1st, 2011? Or is the first refill on Jan. 1, 2012?

I was in the day I got the email. My wife just said I had to cut back on my slurpee purchases. I love slurpees and work across the street from 7-11. Combine that with the fact that you can bring your own cup/mug in and you get a refill price, $1.09, I went there often.

Re: Pay $200, Get $600 Credit for Full Moon

^Depends on what you want to get out of it. If you're looking for a tax deduction that might be a fun way to do it. I have no idea what Full Moon's balance sheet or business model looks like, but I doubt that you'll get much money back, much less a profit. You should read Lloyd Kaufman's book "Make Your Own Damn Movie," especially the chapter about investors and how to tell them that they'll never see their money again.
