$49.99 for Dirty Harry Collection BD is a good price? It was $29 at Amazon and $35 at Walmart.com last month. That makes $49.99 seem very expensive. I don't know anything about Flight of the Conchords but think I saw and passed on it at least 1 season of it a year or two ago during the famous $3/$6 Warner box set sales at Big Lots.

Are you sure it was the Dirty Harry UCE. There are two collections, one is 2x the MSRP of the other. I think the one that was cheap at Amazon and WM (and WB shop for around $20) is the regular BR version.

I'm a bit confused. the link on page 1 on Amazon's site shows Thriller @ $68.99 right now (Monday, Dec. 13 1:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. PST). However when I click on Amazon's $68.99 link it takes me to the main Thriller page which shows $98.99.

My first thought was that all the discounted copies have been claimed but I went to the Deals page and Thriller shows as Expired with only 6% claimed. I don't know why it's Expired already.

Did you try adding it to your cart? I remember seeing that during some of the Black Friday week sales, but it would switch to the sale price when I checked out.

I had the same problem that MooMoo did with lightning deals during Thanksgiving but here's what I figured out - go to Today's Deals at top of page then right below the search box choose All Deals. Then on the left go to Lightning Deals and then this page will be the one that lets you add to the cart and the lower price stick. This is so complicated I feel sure it's not the right way to do it but I spent a lot of time trying to get the lower price by adding stuff to the cart or going to various pages and this is the only thing that worked.

After doing some research on The World at War it would appear that the preferred set is not the newly restored recent release even though the picture definitely looks better. Both new SD and BR Ultimate Restored Editions have been cropped for widescreen TV.
So the older set (30th Anniversary Edition) is the version to get until they decide to release the restored edition with it's OAR unchanged. Not likely to happen soon or ever.

Weird: Flight of the Conchords is not showing up as a Movies title but you can find it if you select All Categories. Perhaps because it's a DVD/CD Combo?

Looking at the Disney tin stuff. Looks to be the regular releases in some school tin with pencils and junk.

Anyone know if they are individually wrapped in the tin?

Borderline good deal, but I don't own anything except Tarzan and at 7.50 a movie it is decent for Disney.

I believe the tin is shrinkwrapped seperately to the back of the DVD.

Looking at the Ken Burns baseball 11-disc set. Does anyone know if the content is the same as the previously released 10-disc set plus the new Tenth Inning DVD? It looks as if they may have dropped the extras disc from the old set. In looking at the disc listing (at bn.com), Discs 1-9 are Innings 1-9, while discs 10 and 11 are the Top of the 10th and the Bottom of the 10th.
