Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Best Buy just sent me an email with their Black Friday ad. I saw the TV shows I wanted (Dexter S3+, Big Bang Theory S3, Breaking Bad, etc) for $9.99-$14.99. No way I'm going to an B&M store on BF, so fingers crossed that Amazon price matches again.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

I just ordered The Fall on dvd for $6.49 (great price since I've never seen it much less than $20) with Terminator Salvation ($5) and The Hangover ($3.99).

Ordered burn notice at 10.99 yesterday and Amazon says they shippied it today. Would be nice if the other seasons were on sale.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

I found the lightning deals rather difficult to figure out how to actually get that price in your cart. I kept clicking on the link provided and Burn Notice kept coming up $10.99. Finally noticed the lightning deals button to the right, clicked, then had to add it via that second link. Sort of confusing, but happy I was able to purchase season one for only $7.99.

If you go to the main Black Friday Deals page, it's as simple as clicking "Add To Cart" from right there.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Since I have to work from 4 in the morning until at least 10 at night on Friday and I won't be able to take ANY advantage of ANY Black Friday deals aside from Amazon. God bless them! I picked up the last season of Mary Tyler Moore for $9, not bad at all!

Only see Dracula and Wolfman at that price. Hope they mark down the others, still need Invisible Man.

Be careful on these, lots of defective discs in all the sets. The main disc with the first two movies on a single side are usually okay, but the second flipper discs are problematic. I ran into so many playback problems on mine I wound up buying the individual double feature sets with two movies per side of a single disc. Of course that option isn't available with THE INVISIBLE MAN, so the Legacy is the only way to go, but what a shame Universal continually produced defective sets.

Yeah, my disc 2 from the Dracula set is royally screwed up. Could only get one film to play with minor skipping. That's the reason why I have never seen the Spanish version of Dracula. Never had a problem with the other sets.

I'm considering to give it another shot and replace my Dracula set with this sale. My defect came from the bust gift set.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

A heads up, the first 6 seasons of Entourage have been added to the Lightning Deals for Tomorrow.

They will be tomorrow after all of the Childrens DVDs sale.

They will be 10 dollars a season (Season 3 has two parts, each will be 10 dollars).

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

How long did the Burn Notice lightning deal last? I wanted to order one, but when I checked it was already sold out.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Amazon did not reach the 50,000 likes for the promised Mad Men deal but both the SD and blu ray season sets will be $9.99 each beginning on Thanksgiving Day until November 27. They got about 13,000 likes.

I bought all of these when they first came out. Sounds like I got lucky, no bad discs.

I just wish all of these would come out on Blu already, but chances are they will only release the classic debut films for the monsters and not the sequels, which are the ones most affected by the problematic discs.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

I was hoping Amazon was going to have some of the NCIS Seasons up as lightning deals considering it's surge in popularity. It really is a terrific show where new viewers can jump right in b/c save for a few episodes where there is a continuing storyline, most episodes stand alone. Anyway, happy I got Smallville S9 for $9.99 (reg. $44.99) and am VERY psyched to see what the price is going to be on the BACK TO THE FUTURE Trilogy on BD lightning deal on cyber-Monday. I have PRIME 2-day shipping and for those of you who will be at work and unable to get in on the deal, I'm happy to order extras for members of the boards both old and new.

Happy Thanksgiving everybody!
