The small big lots in bedford park, il finally got a gigantic stock. THe largest selection I have seen in awhile. Though they were hard to look through them because of the stupid display. Grabbed two lundgren cheapies.

Thanks Glen. I still haven't found that Mae West or WC Fields box set the folks on here were finding at their respective stores and as you know, we only have the Niles and Wood dale and Diversey Avenue stores that are within this radius.

I saw 2 different Pelham lots. Picked up Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, wanted Rio Bravo and Pink Caddillac but both were cut outs.
Edit: Found Best Picture - A Man For All Seasons... Big Lots has really helped my collection of Best Pictures....

Hit the Vineland store today and there was a slight restock, but mostly multiple copies of the same bad movies. On the plus side, two copies of THUNDERBALL and the non-anamorphic original PELHAM. Otherwise, not much at all, though I did pick up two series for the gf, THE INVISIBLE MAN and STRONG MEDICINE. I never heard of either, but she digs that stuff.
I never did find the MAE WEST or W.C. FIELDS sets and no one reported them in SoCal, but I have it on good authority that both did show up at the Culver City store a few days before I hit it. Hard to believe that Culver City had the area exclusive on those, but apparently they did.

The Bolingbrook, IL store must have gotten new stock in.
I managed to get the original Taking of Pelham movie and Star Trek: The Original Series (Volume 10) ($5 for the Star Trek one)
Also saw some Speed Racer: Volume 4 for $3 each and titles that I can't remember right now.
Of yeah, Righteous Kill Blu-Ray is also there for $8.

Dogville is a worthy film not to be used in the same context as Knockaround Guys..

It's not the Universal Legacy Series edition. It's the one with the white cover and "7 Academy Awards: Best Picture" logo across the bottom.
Sorry, I can't post the "URL".

On Friday I snagged up Stargate 15th Anniversary Edition Bluray for $8 along with the DVDs Balls of Fury, Jimmy Carter Man from Plains, The Good German, Dogville, The Philanthropist, Things We Lost in the Fire, and Away We Go. A couple weeks ago I got Unleashed, 11:14, Hamlet 2, Bruno, Babylon A.D. Raw and Uncut, Infamous, All the Right Moves, Ali G Indahouse, and Van Wilder the Rise of Taj.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
I'm not sure if this has been showing up anywhere else, but I saw a mysterious dvd at the Milford, Mass. and Franklin, Mass. stores yesterday. There was no name on the front, no name on the spine, and there was no security tape on the top side of the case (where there normally would be a name printed). There was however images of an alien-like creature and a Doberman Pinscher on the front which of course made me think this might be a version of Resident Evil. I messed around with the shrinkwrap on the side that opens and pryed the case enough to see the disc inside WITHOUT breaking the plastic and sure enough, Resident Evil Apocalypse. Once I got home I looked it up to see what was what and I figure these might be missing a slipcover with Milla Jovovich's picture on it. I saw about 10 to 15 copies between the two stores so I'm assuming this will hit everywhere else soon if they haven't already. Just an FYI in case you run across these.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
The Resident Evil Apocalypse Special Edition DVD is one those DVDs that looks out of place without the slipcover. It has a plastic transparent slipcover with Milla on the front, title on the spines, and all the info on the back. It's like the blu-ray slip covers of Star Trek and Transformers.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
People are finding some weird things.
Splendor showed up how many years ago for $2 when it first went out of print?
Does the Pebbles & Bamm-Bamm set mean we might see more of those other $3 & $6 WB sets again?
I've found little of interest at my local.
