BigLots at 63rd & May in OKC had some new stuff already mentioned, including about 4 Krulls. Only one copy of one Martini Movie - Gumshoe, which I bought.

Saw some "odd" previously viewed DVDs tonight: TV show sets that looked like previous Blockbuster rentals. Sold new the sets normally come in digipacks or thin cases, but the individual discs were in separate regular sized DVD cases all shrinkwrapped together. They were $6 and I don't remember the exact seasons, but some of the titles were:
Grey's Anatomy
The Shield
Family Guy
The L Word
CSI
Nip/ Tuck
Alias
The Riches

Pretty much what I saw at the Christiansburg, VA location. Few extra titles that I had seen in addition to these.

That 70's Show S1 & S6
Secret Diary of a Call Girl
Lucky Louie (Which I picked up)
Stargate SG-1 S1

That definitely sounds like Blockbuster used series. And with the company closing many stores, it makes sense that these items would show up someplace like BL. They can't get rid of all of them at store closing sales. The problem with these disks, of course, is that they may be pretty beaten up and you have no way of knowing before you buy. Still, for $6 it may be worth a shot.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Just came back and they had some new titles.

Finally was able to get Krull
Also got Mommie Dearest and Battlestar Galactica Caprica

Saw some of those used TV Series in the $6 bin. I saw Rescue Me, Boston Legal, Seinfeld, Family Guy, 24, Simpsons and Reno 911.

I was tempted to get 24, but I simply don't know BL's return policy for these Used DVDs. I could have bought it and what if none of them play good all the way through. $6 down the drain.

I also saw some used movie DVDs too for $3 each.

I'm sure they've both been mentioned but I picked up Hamlet 2 and The Majestic today.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Saw some of the former rental store (Hollywood Video) TV Series sets for $6 at a Big Lots while travelling... picked up 6-disk sets of Smallville S4 & Smallville S5. I was a little concerned about what condition the disks would be in, but was pleasantly surprised that they were in pretty good shape.

Yeah, cuz if anyone was actually RENTING discs at Blockbuster, they would still be in business!

Anyone know if they're open on Easter? I went last week and saw a sign on the door but I can't remember if it said "Closed On Easter" or if it listed special holiday hours for Easter.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I visited the Lancaster BL earlier this afternoon. The new shipment was there, including the King Kong 3xDVD ($3, compared to the 2xDVD still available for $5) and a bunch of the TV sets, which were on a separate rack. For $3 I bought

Lady In The Water (widescreen, cut-out, no slipcase)
The World According to Garp (previously $5)
The Sky Crawlers (anime, Mamoru Oshii)

A question to those who post long lists of titles. Unless you either bought a copy of each movie or have a photographic memory, how do you remember 15+ titles between the store and your home? The one time I posted a long list, I whispered a voice memo into my mobile phone, all the time feeling very self-conscious. Just curious.

How do I remember a long list of titles? The old-fashion, stone age method: I use a piece of paper and a pencil to make a list.

Same here, though I'll be using a camera once pay-as-you-go Android phones fall below $100.

That would probably be Smallville Season 7 (sold for $6), though I've heard a season of Nip/Tuck was spotted there too. I've got that plus the previous 2 seasons on HD-DVD so I'll watch them in order when I have time, which will probably be in about 50 years.

JUSTICE LEAGUE, Season 1, was another Blu that sold at Big Lots, I believe.

The movie 3 on Bluray was also spotted. It was part of the ESPN 3 pack. So only 3 blurays have been spotted. Still a shame no HDs were ever sold at Big Lots.

The Nip/Tuck Blu-Ray set was Season 4 along with the Smallville Season 7.
