LOL. Sounds like a review of a bad party in Beverly Hills, circa 1958.

The 4 disc Superman: The Movie is showing up again. This time for $3 instead of $6. Some others I hadn't seen before include Changeling, Revolutionary Road, Mystery Men, a couple of Randolph Scott westerns...

I picked up:
Superman: The Movie (4 disc)
In Bruges
Bruno
Paprika
The Limits of Control
Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis (2 disc)
Wonder Woman (cartoon)
Invisible Man Season One

LA area update:
- Sepulveda Store - nothing (nearly empty shelves - so a restock may be iminent)-
- Laurel Canyon - Great selection! I found The Whiteshadow season 1! Also saw Buffy seassons, Rescue Me S1, the Practice, Boston Legal, a few more previously viewed tv shows, and some new 3 dollar titles: Bruno, Run fatboy run, Hot fuzz, Arabian Nights (Universal Classics), and more.
- Sherman way - had some used sets of Smallville season 1, 24, Rescue me season 1, more Buffy, and what was found at Laurel Cyn.
Vineland - was well picked over, but had remains of 24, Buffy, Seinfeld, L word, and a few others.

New. Or at least, nothing that indicated they were used. Most of them had security stickers.

The Amsterdam, NY store got the new addition but I didn't see much of anything at a quick glance. I hate digging through that 4-sided wire bin, I find it harder than digging through Walmart's $5 bin.

I saw a used copy of God, The Devil and Bob - the Complete Series for $6. I thought that was funny since it showed up new a couple of years ago for $3. I wish I had found a copy then.

depends. I saw 2 versions of Simpsons Season 5. one was 5 keep cases shrink wrapped together. the other was the deluxe box set with the fold outs discs, complete with inserts and booklet. Both were $6.

Normally I feel the same way. But... I purchased "Rome" S1 for $6, previously viewed, in 5 amaray cases (one is a double to include the 6th disk). Each case has the original artwork on the label with the back specific to each DVD. Essentially, HBO designed and printed outer labels for the rental market. Considering the consumer version is in a crappy digipak I'm pretty happy. I'll be looking for a standard amaray case which will hold 6 disks as the outer labels are all original and designed for this type case. I'll either fold or cut the extra ones to put inside the case and use one for the outer labeling. I like this packaging so much better than the original that I'm now looking for a rental/library version of S2.

To the list of $3 "Blue Tag" titles, add:
"One Crazy Summer" (John Cusack - Demi Moore)
"B.O.B.'s Big Break" in Monster 3D w/4 pairs of glasses (formerly $5)

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

got Drawn Together S2 for part of the 2/$5. That was worth the trip itself.

also, my BL had the PVD rental copies clearly marked as "rental copy only". Pretty hard to miss it. I picked up one, but did so understanding I would get no special features. But for essentially $2.5 it was worth it to me.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Is this the last day of 2 for $5?

Saw these $3 titles with the blue stickers at Broadway and 7th: I suspect old titles are being rewrapped with shrink wrap and stickered - over the damaged bar codes, I saw many stickers that said "Secuirty device enclosed".

Frost/Nixon
Cinderella Man (Full)
Buddy Holly Story
Bruno
Ali G
Great Ziegfield
Trouble with Harry
Romance on the High Seas
Proof of Life
Legal Eagles
Majestic
Chuck and Larry
Angela (by Luc Besson)
Milk
Star Trek Vol 7
Star Trek vol 38
