Went to the Attleboro MA store ..nothing of interest.

They did have a 3 pak with Lassie/John Kerry Docu/and can't remember the other one ,but it had a retro cover and looked like a werewolf /zombie type thing?......They had like 15 packs (easy!) of this stuff!

Since Black Friday I have bought 2 DVd's from BL .....it has been a loooooong drought!

The Kennett Square location had signage for the $3 titles but I only found a few that were new. Pretty underwhelming. Not to mention it is hard to get excited about a $3 sale when we were picking up titles for $2 or $2.50 with coupon. Although this has been great for my wallet, I miss the days when I had to make judgment calls to limit my purchases.

I don't know if they ever corrected it, but there was about 15 seconds cut out of EVIL ROY SLADE when the DVD was first released (I pre-ordered it from DD.) Timeless Media must have set their DVD coding for TV shows (nothing over 60 min.), so it split ERS into two parts... and whoever did the mastering job wasn't watching very carefully (if at all,) so there's a pretty bad jump cut. (I ended up keeping my old "eBay import" of ERS because of this.)

I know what you mean. Had that same jump in my version before giving it away so I knew it was somewhat edited but it's a good film nevertheless.

For anyone in the Fresno area, the Blackstone store still has the following:

Cannon: Season 1
Early Edition: Season 2
Twin Peaks: Season 2
Sarah Silverman: Season 1
Sarah Silverman: Season 2; Volume 1
Kate & Allie: Season 1
Metropolis: 2-Disc
Mind of Mencia: Season 1
Father of the Pride: Complete Series
Crank Yankers: Best of
Lots of Nickelodeon titles
Good amount of anime

And don't forget, the Blackstone store carries DVD's in two locations, by the front of the store, and on a table to the left of the registers. Last night I picked up:

Afro Samurai Ressurection: 2-Disc Special Edition Director's Cut
Metropolis: 2-Disc
Explorers
Woody Woodpecker Collection: Volume 2
Some Kind of Wonderful
The Nines

Saw the pathetic genius re-dump. Every 3 pack had either Lassie and/or the John Kerry Doc.

There was some new interesting PD sets. Old BBC miniseries, war documentaries, animal/mystery docs. They feel a bit overpriced but I was in a buying mood.

Picked up:

$3
Macon County Line (previously passed it over but it said cult on the back so I'll give it a shake)

$4
Assault On Hitler's Europe (2 disc, 4 hours of docus)

$5
Flash Gordon (3 disc, 6 1/2 hours of the 40's miniseries)
Quest For Adventure (I am assuming these are docus, the box is vauge. 730mins worth on 3 discs)
Sir Lancelot (Old BBC series 750mins 3 discs)

I also found Macon County Line today, as well as For Pete's Sake, City of Joy, and Frost/Nixon. I also found Robert Vaughn's autobiography A Fortunate Life and a D&D module (!) in the book bin, which was too weird to pass up.

Here is Kansas, I found some leftover CSI NY season 2-4. Some Mind of Mencina. Also lots of Twin Peaks season 2. All listed for $10. Other stores are almost out of DVDs. No new titles noticed.

Can someone say what they were?

Or, failing that, can someone say if they are season sets or individual volumes?

Only thing new I saw today was several Rolling Stones and Beatles box sets. Also probably about 30-40 3 packs all with either some Adrien Brody or Rose McGowan movie. I would of bought one if both movies were in the same 3 pack.

I also saw the Beatles and Rolling Stones sets. They were three disc sets and $10 each. I don't remember the title of the sets but they looked like unofficial, unauthorized crap.

Also saw Hostel II Unrated, Fear factor S1, Metropolis anime for $3 each and Woody Woodpecker V2 for $5.

That's my take too. I picked up and looked at the Beatles one just in case... I don't remember the label but it *is* one of those PD houses known for the lack of quality releases. I *might* have picked it up for $2-$3 but $10 is *way* too much.
