I think it had "Galactica 1980" on the cover... so I checked some online stores for pictures and info, and it seems it may be the final season of the show... But I never watched the show or movie, So I'm not sure "what's - what".... hope that helps, even a little...
Thanks, you made it perfectly clear.

The one that showed up here today (yesterday?) is "Galactica 1980" - the 1980 10 ep. series.

Other new-to-here TVonDVD titles appeared. The ones I remember:

Gomer Pyle S2
Perry Mason S1/V2
Rawhide S2/V1
Star Trek Fan's Choice - Time Travel
Star Trek - The Animated Series
The Animation Show
Galactica 1980 - Complete Series

There were three or four 18 title boxes, all with the same assortment.

Also a pallet of $5 titles and another of $3 titles - most of which are restock.

Went in BL today and found a new display of mostly features, nothing that new or desirable. Did notice lots of $5 stickers on titles previously sold here for $3.

Updated. I might have missed a couple ... just LMK.

Two people have reported this: Animation Celebration

I searched in Amazon and did not get a specific title. What exactly is this?

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I found mulitple copies of Jericho season 1 today. I also found

Voyager Season 3
Galactica 1980
Charmed Season 1
Charmed Season 3
Deep Space Nine Season 4
Star Trek Animated Series
Star Trek Captains Collection
Star Trek Time Travel
Star Trek Captain Picard
CSI Miami Season 1
Best of the Original Star Trek - part 2

I don't remember any of the others. One store didn't look like it had any new stock. Still haven't been able to find alternate realities.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I found two really good finds today at Big Lots. One was a double feature in one case and the other was just a single-disc DVD. However, in both, the discs were loose and they were the only copies I could find. If the discs are loose inside a DVD case, are they generally really scratched? And if they are, would BL give me a refund? I would think the disc wouldn't really be scratched, but seeing as how you guys are pros, this would be a common obstacle. Thanks for future answers!

Bridgeport, Tacoma Wa got quite a few $3 dvd's that were put out today. Lots of Warner restock, a bit of Sony & Paramount. No Das Boot 2 disc. I don't have titles handy, but worth a stop for those in the area @ 4 for $2.50. They also have the Nickelodeon $6's marked down to $5.

Definitely varies. I try to avoid floaters at all costs. That said, I picked up Salem's Lot (original) last night at Big Lots and it ended up being a floater. Didn't realize it until I opened it, its clean though.

What were the dvds you wanted to get?

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Braved the rainy weather to check out a Big Lots today. For $2.50 a pop I grabbed:

Men With Guns (John Sayles)
The Garment Jungle (Martini movie)
My Kid Could Paint That
Riding Alone (Zhang Yimou)
Shiri (Nice cover! This looks like a very sexy thriller)
Dead Man on Campus

Also saw:
Half a Sixpence
Natalee Holloway
The Perfect Score (Fullscreen Version)
Sliver

I wanted to get The History Boys and the double feature I cannot remember, although this instinct I have tells me it was something really worthwhile.

Would Big Lots give me a refund if the DVDs were opened? Or an exchange? Have you or anyone else had any bad experience with floaters? I will probably take the risk and just buy them because they were just too good to pass up. Next time I go, I'll try and find the double feature again.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

^It all depends on your feelings and the desirability of the title. I'll avoid a floater if possible *but* will go ahead and get it if it's a much desired title, especially if it's OOP. If it's too bad to play I can take it to Hastings for a buffing (last time it cost about $2) or give it to a co-worker and wait for her to take it to her dad who'll do it for free (he's out of town and it can take weeks for this process). On the very few titles which have been defective I've had no problems exchanging for the same, or different if none are left, titles.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Very small restock at the Niles, IL store. Some new $10 sets like GUNSMOKE 50th Vol. 1, PETTICOAT JUNCTION S2, GOMER PYLE S2, ST: TIME TRAVEL, THE ANIMATION SHOW, CROSSING JORDAN S1, etc. Nothing that hasn't been reported elsewhere, but not very much of what has.

Tiny new to me additions of $3.00 titles in time for this week's sale, two of which were THE MAN IN THE SADDLE (Randolph Scott/Andre De Toth) and MR. DEEDS GOES TO TOWN (Cooper/Capra).

Still looking for PERRY MASON 50th and ST: ANIMATED.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went for a drive today and found some new things at the Harrisburg BL:

An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder
Oh! What a Lovely War: Special Collectors Edition

Both were blind buys, but I expect to enjoy them. I also finally found a copy of the Star Trek Animated set. There were two copies, but I didn't think to grab the other. It doesn't appear that the latest $5 shipments have reached central PA.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I headed yesterday to the Brooklyn Ctr. (MN) store hoping against hope that there'd be some Deep Space Nine there (as reported elsewhere). No such luck, but did get Voyager S3, H5O S6 and Cheers S7. So still a worthwhile trip across the tundra.

Yep... that's it. I didn't remember the title exactly and did a quick copy/paste of the other mention. I've corrected my post.

Picked up the following:

Steamboy: Director's Cut $3 (only copy I saw).

Professor...I saw the same stuff there in the Niles, IL store in the morning hours so good to know nothing has really changed. Just debating still whether to get PJ S2 as I heard the first two seasons were kind of blah!
