It was this same price at Amazon in March 2009, and supposedly BestBuy.com had it for $50 in August. While I like a few I Love Lucy episodes (the John Wayne ones especially), I'm not a big enough fan to pay $85 or $50 for the whole series. Maybe $20 or $30 but I doubt it'll get there any time soon.

I think those of you waiting are smart....there is probably going to be a lot of this product everywhere this holiday.

Yeah, it was more a technical error that brought it down to that price. Some sets were supposed to be 50% off, but instead of being 50% off, I Love Lucy was registering in the cart as $50. Couldn't pass it up at that price and snagged it. Was surprised they didn't cancel my order actually given the error.

I don't really think the complete ILL is going to go down much further than that; those season sets have been selling great for years in the $20-30 range and the cheapest I've ever seen them was the early seasons for around $14 each on Black Friday a few years ago (although Target did have seasons 1-2 wrapped together for $20 and had them on sale at least once for $15 for the duo). This is one vintage tv show that really sells dvds and I doubt Paramount is going to knock them down big time in the near future.
