I'm actually buying a second set to put a blu-ray in. I think it should fit as I had the HD DVD set and it was identical to the DVD one except for the HDDVD inside.

Since I already have the HD-DVD of Forbidden Planet, $15.99 is too much to switch to the BD, even though it would be fun to have the little Robbie the Robot figure. Most likely it would end up collecting dust in a box like my BSG Cylon figure.

Placed my order earlier and just got notice that mine will be shipping soon. Awesome. I was bummed when I didn't go for this when it first came out and bought the normal DVD instead. Later I picked up the HD and will probably eventually buy the Blu too. I love the look of the tin case. A classic design. Thanks, OP.

I got mine today and it looks like a really cool set, but the tin is smashed to shit in a few spots, especially the top of the case. You expect a ding here and there on this type of set but the top is really beat up. I've never had anything damaged from Amazon before, will they make me pay to return the damaged set? I used $15 worth of credit so I only actually paid $1 for the set so if I have to pay to ship this one back before they send a new one it's probably not worth it.

i've just noticed that the price is down to $20.98 everywhere online...is this still in the tin packaging? it's down to $17.99 right now at amazon...i would be surprised if it's still in the tin packaging.

^ If you order the tin set, it comes in the tin. I got mine a couple of months ago @ $15.99 and it was still packaged in a tin.

yeah but a couple of months ago it was at full price $69? discounted to $15.99 now the full price dropped to $ 20 something and it's discounted to $17.99...so i'm wondering if the price drop changed the set..
