Nice! Thanks for the tip. I will order right now, but:
Is this place reputable (never order from them, how are they?)

I think bn.com had a better deal a couple months ago. I bought all of them then. This is definitely a decent price though.

Family Video is legit. I've ordered through them tons of times. They're a chain of rental stores that have an online presence that sells stuff for extremely cheap. And it's good to hear that this series is finally going for cheap. Good times.

Yeah, I paid something like $75 per season when these things first came out (mainly because I can't stand how crushed and dented these cardboard boxes get after being on the shelf for a few weeks).
At $26.99 a volume, it's like getting all 3 for the price of one! Even with tax and shipping, it comes out to far less than half of MSRP.
I wish I could have waited!

While I'd like to get the originals, I'm pretty happy with these sets, especially at the lower prices.

Hmm, so they are just put together like movies instead, but same material?
Old Indy? I never watched these? Can you explain...

Lucas conceived The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles as a way to fill in gaps between Indy's childhood and Raiders of the Lost Ark. Its first two seasons consisted of hour-long episodes presented as flashbacks, with an elderly Jones (played by George Hall) recounting exciting adventures from his youth. A few years after the series' cancellation, Lucas re-edited those episodes into a series of two-hour "movies"—removing the Hall wrap-arounds, adding new footage and narration to bridge the stories, and re-presenting the adventures in chronological order.

[obligatory] George Lucas raped my teen-age years also ... [/obligatory]
I really wish I had some extra cash for these! I didn't even know that they were out on DVD ...

Re: The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones $26.99 each
I think I paid close to $50 for these when they came out. I'm usually not one to spend that much, and when the third one came out, we were expecting our first child, so spending that kind of money was questionable. However, I must say, it was totally worth it. These things are packed with extras. I'm not usually one for watching a lot of extras, but there are some great documentaries that make these educational, to (one of the reasons we went ahead and spent the money in the beginning, thinking they might be good for our children when they get old enough to watch them...might make them interested in history).
I do wish they would have put the old Indy footage in them, but it makes sense how they put them together. They didn't put the episodes in airing order, but chronological order. In doing it the way they did, they had to drop the bookends with Old Indy (plus now it seems they aren't in the cannon since Indy IV came out...as I believe Old Indy didn't have any children, but Indy IV gave him a son). But they could have, at least, added them as bonus footage, even if it was an easter egg. Maybe they thought it wouldn't make any sense without having them with the episodes, which is probably true, but I still want to watch them.

In case you missed it in the Family Video thread, there is $5 off $50 purchase this weekend using coupon Fall5Off. It's not a great discount but it's useful if you plan to get 2 or more of these sets.

That $5 coupon was good enough for me last weekend. I jumped and everything came out cheaper than DD with 25% off.
Unfortunately, they had everything in stock and ready to ship that day, than today I get an email that V1 is on back order.... fucking great. Nice way to drag ass and let me know 5 days later.

I missed the coupon but I bit tonight. My wife is not going to be happy about my new $88.22 bill but 22 episodes of a fun series for $4.01 apiece, plus all these docs I've heard about, this seems like a great value.
