While the title of the thread has not been fixed, I find it humorous my post from yesterday seems to have been deleted. All I did was ask another member if they would be interested in selling their duplicate set. Why was that deleted????

I bought this when it came out, I still haven't checked all of the discs, though I assume that if I do find any problems, I'm probably shit out of luck at this point.

How many stores have an unlimited amount of time for refunds and exchanges on DVDs? If you got it from there, you're set.

I'm tempted on this set, but already have the three titles that came out on Criterion, already have LIFEBOAT and PARADINE CASE is a bit of a snooze. I'd like the three early films on here though as I am assuming they are better than all the Public Domain copies out there.

I also heard that the Criterion releases have better image quality, even though they're older.

Watched Rebecca last night and was quite happy with the picture. Great movie, BTW. No disc problems.

I have the 'Wrong Men and Notorious women' Criterion collection already. Anyone recommend this MGM set over it ? Other than the additional titles...TIA

While visiting with friends, we stopped in the Milford, CT store on Sunday and I bought one set. Upon examing the discs I noticed that only Notorious appears to have a potential problem as there is some discoloration in the silver layer. Should play fine so I'll test it. Saw the set at Barnes and Noble for $119.99...$21.99 at Costco? A screaming bargain. Milford had at least 10 more then.

Unfortunately, I didn't see any copies at two Costco locations in New Jersey.

Also got this when it first came out, and didn't have problems with any of the discs. For $22, it's a no-brainer buy. My Costco also had House Seasons 1-5 at $17.99@, so I picked up 4&5. Glad I waited.

I'm strapped so can't indulge but I notice this Alfred Hitchcock Premiere Collection is about $31 shipped new on Amazon Marketplace so if you're a not a Costco member (like me) that's not a bad alternative. ...of course you chance it with possible defective discs.

I think what's missing is that someone at Amazon finally realized that they didn't have any copies of the Premiere Collection for sale The tagline for the 2:00 PDT GB clearly stated:

A Hitchcock collection for a thrilling low price

Like others, I got my hopes up that is was going to be the Premiere Collection, only to find out that they switched it to The Office S1-S5
