Hmmm, if always wanted to get this, for the bonus discs and this is about as good as it gets. I'm kind of holding out hope for Blu though.

The first three seasons of Stargate SG-1 were filmed on 16 mm film, notwithstanding scenes involving visual effects that had always been shot on 35 mm film for various technical reasons. After a test run with the season 3 finale, "Nemesis", Stargate SG-1 switched to 35 mm film for all purposes at the beginning of season 4.[42] Digital HD cameras were used for filming beginning with season 8.[39]

Plus $20.00 per season for all the aggrevation (and a couple of years off your life) for the poor packaging, scratches, dirt, etc..., etc...
I ordered the new thinpacks - $17.00 Cdn each. Worth it in the long run.
Of course, since I ordered these, now a new box set will come out for half the price.

Man that is a great price as of course I paid almost double that for it quite a while ago. I was one of the lucky ones who didn't have any damaged discs though!
