Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Thanks for the tip! I went into the local store yesterday; they said the shipment had just come in & would not be on the floor until Friday.

Cool that they let him go back there and shoot the video. A lot of those titles have been there before, but I'll grab Kindergarten Cop 2 if I see it- Universal didn't see fit to release that on Blu-Ray.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
I only took home (for cases) "Miss Meadow", eight of them.
There's a mockumentary on "Weird Al" out there. Didn't not see the DVD.
Called another store; their shipment will be out later this weekend.
Need more cases since all of these will be put to use with zero to spare.
And I would like to find that Weird Al release.

The Compleat Al has been spotted at Dollar Tree?!? I haven't picked that up yet because I haven't seen it at my price point, will gladly get it for only $1.

I went in today. They had 5 identical boxes that had not hit the floor. No blu's; only dvd I felt was worth mentioning was Reality bites if you don't have it yet.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Restrained myself as I'm out of shelf space, but got Mirror Mirror on Blu-Ray as well as a disc of the new CG Pac-Man cartoon, Pants on Fire, and Tiger Eyes (written by Judy Blume, including a commentary track with her.) Saw tons of Sex Tape on Blu-Ray, but the free digital copy that mistakenly went out before release date was quite enough. They must've lost a ton of money on that movie.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
I went to 10 stores, lots of repeats, stuff I already owned, a lot more that I had zero interest in.
Ah well, I've had some great luck in the past.
Lots of the same DVD's in quantity, like:
Contest
Miss Meadow
My One and Only
Northern Borders
State of Emergency
Viking Legacy
Worth
1 store had 20+ of an Astonishing X-Men Marvel Knights DVD
and another store had 12+ of a Superhero Squad Quest Volume 1
Some had lots of random of 1-2 copy DVD titles, like:
Excalibur
Hollow Point
Honey
Kindergarten Cop 2
Nick & Nora
Whole Ten Yards

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Something to note: those DVDs of which there are only a copy or two may be "previously-enjoyed" copies. I bought a copy of Legally Blonde that I discovered was used only after I got home and started taking off the shrink-wrap. In the bottom left corner on the back was a sticker that I hadn't noticed in the store that said that it was a used copy. It seems to be in pretty good shape, however.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
FYI for anyone looking for the Weird Al DVD in the KC area - I was in the 47th street location ( just west of Oklahoma Joe's ) on Saturday, & they probably had 6-7 copies.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
BTW - I was back in that location I mentioned above this morning, & they had SIXTEEN ( !!! ) copies of the Weird Al DVD.
Did they have the baby aspirin I was after? No.

It's been a couple weeks since I went to a DT. Wondering if it's still worthwhile for the current batch.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Local DT had a boatload of DVD's and a (very) few BluRay's. Not sure if this is a delayed placement of the late May batch that showed up or a new batch.
Mostly the usual suspects: Hallmark films, kids films, exercise DVD's.
A few others that stood out in my mind:
Rachel Getting Married
Speed Racer
Stargate The Ark Of Truth
The Longest Ride
Parental Guidance
Numerous copies of everything there. Nothing really grabbed my fancy except this 2-DVD version of Ain't Them Bodies Saints.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
Was at DT last night, my store also had new stuff out.
Tons of copies of Borat.
Took home several copies of "Vera Drake" for cases and a couple of "Plastic" for the same.
Did buy "Noobz" and "Avengers Grimm" to watch.
Looked, no copies of that "Weird Al" mocumentary.

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
I still have yet to see a single DVD or Blu-ray ever in a local Dollar Tree.
My kids and I love "Weird Al." What mockumentary?!

Re: Dollar Tree DVDs
I went to a DT today. They had 1 br I've never heard of. It was kind of a weird one (sorry, I can't remember the name), I almost spent $1 on it. Also maybe 20 dvd's; the best known one was About Schmidt. They weren't on a display, they were with the electronics.

Went to two more DTs, bought more cases and got "Sweetwater", A Dreamers Do: The Amazing Life Of Walt Disney", "Manglehorn" (with slipcover) and "RoboCop" remake. The last was a good deal for a buck. I was going to buy it last Black Friday, but even at four bucks... one dollar is a good price.
