Finally found What's Up Doc?. With that one, that was the last to complete the Barbra Streisand Collection (What's Up, Doc?/The Main Event/Up the Sandbox/Nuts). A shame that they're all still in snappers.

I would love to find What's Up, Doc? at Big Lots. I love that movie and I love that $3 price.

Only found Lords of Discipline the other day.

Just curious how many people have seen this movie at their Big Lots?
My store had mostly non-Paramount stuff so the newest batch must not have shown up yet.

Saw "House Arrest" in-store over the weekend. Either the Albany or Troy NY store.

No sign of the Streisand titles locally...would like to get "Up the Sandbox" and "Nuts."

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Nothing new at the two Big Lots I visited today but I did pick up for $6 each:

TCM Archives: Laurel and Hardy Collection w/ The Devil's Brother and Bonnie Scotland
Classic Comedy Teams Double Feature: Laurel and Hardy w/ Air Raid Wardens and Nothing But Trouble

Are these the only two L&H DVD's that are showing up at Big Lots? I'm curious because I would love to pick up some more.

At the Orlando store on the corner of Bumby and E. Colonial....

Alone in the Dark ( Uwe Boll - Christian Slater - Tara Reid - Stephen Dorff ) - 4 or 5 copies

Million Dollar Baby ( Clint Eastwood ) - 1 copy

To Catch a Thief ( Hitchcock ) - 1 copy

'Round Midnight ( Bertrand Tavernier - Dexter Gordon ) - 2 copies

Don't remember it they were WIDEscreen, or the prices, or anything else...

Those are the only 2 that've shown up here.

Considering the "Classic Comedy Teams Double Feature" was also part of a box set that had Abbott & Costello and Three Stooges 2-title disks I'm suprised those two haven't shown up anywhere.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Picked up the Chuck Jones collection and Munsters Christmas($5 each...ouch!) and I think my 2nd copy of Perfume for $3. I'm a sucker for a good murder mystery and I just couldn't remember if I'd picked this one up yet.

Now I gotta figure out if it's worth $3 to dig through all of my stacks and boxes of dvd's.

Picked up the Busby Berkeley Collection Vol.2 - I already owned two of the films, but still picked it up, they had 12 copies of the boxset, all marked $9 over top of a $6 price tag.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Here's a strange one I saw at a Big Lots last night:

Cannon Season 2: Volume One

Only saw a single copy of this at one store out of four.

Must be like those Friday the 13th: The TV Series DVDs that someone found at a Big Lots once. Every once in a while one of these Paramount TV sets somehow manages to find its way into a BL shipment.

They had Training Day for $5. That is on sale at Best Buy for $3.49.

When Best Buy is cheaper than BL, not sure what to say..

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Today I picked up:

Bridge on the River Kwai (2-Disc) $5
What's Up, Doc? $5
Casualties Of War $3

Don't like the new $5 price at all, they had some $5 titles that I have bought in the past at BL for $3.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I was looking at thelonelyisland's photo and realized the Big Lots sticker might ruin a slipcover other than the fact I'd bet it would be beat up at a Big Lots. I wonder if we can order "replacement" slipcovers somewhere online? Does Paramount have a program like that?

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Visited the Big Lots in Lancaster, PA today. Had stopped in a week and half ago, seemingly on the same day they rolled out a new 2-layer display, as there were almost no disks missing. Today they had a second, new 2-layer display, and I was surprised how intact the first display still appeared. Altogether, I picked up

Sorry, Wrong Number
Let's Scare Jessica to Death
Fire In the Sky
Million Dollar Baby (2-disk widescreen, cut-out)
Poltergeist (25th Anniversary, cut-out)
Witness (Special Collector's Edition)

They had a lot of other stuff previously mentioned (the Friday the 13th disks, To Catch a Thief, more Monty Python & The Holy Grail Collector's Editions, more Strangers on a Train 2-disks, more Bonnie and Cyde 2-disks, more Starship Troopers 2-disks, etc.) Was going to buy TCAT (there were over a dozen copies) until I realized there's now a 2-disk Centennial Edition. Also would have bought Babe and Syriana, but these were both full screen. I would have bought still other titles, but was disappointed at the $5 price tag on all the latest disks. I guess they have me conditioned to $3 titles, so I'll be holding out for a sale.

They also had another title not mentioned before: the Polar Express in both 2-disk and 3-D editions. I was also eyeing the Hellboy 2-disk edition. Overall, I'm quite happy with their latest shipments. And maybe I'll eventually find a 2-disk Taxi Driver?

Hit another BL today. No Son of Rambow but lots of Friday the 13th discs.

Also noticed several Strange Wilderness DVDs.
