9-23-2010 I picked up the following at the Lenoir City, TN Big Lots. They had 100% new stock. A 4-sided display shelf and three large display bins. I don't know what happened to all of those DVD's that had been there for over a year now. But I went through every last DVD and none of them were there last month.

I am VERY happy with this haul! I didn't know about the upcoming 4 for $10. But I got first crack as they had just stocked! So I have no regrets. FYI, Psycho IV is only available on this 3-pack. It was never released outside of this 3-pack. So ignore Psycho II and III singles at Big Lots and Wal-Mart as you'll get them again in this set which you'll need to buy to get part 4. 4 was never shown in theaters and I do not believe it had any VHS release. It is a great movie! So now you know.

I just want to say thank you to all who have posted in this thread! I didn't even know Big Lots had DVD's until I saw the Big Lots thread a year ago. Thank you, thank you, thank you! You people rock!

I just went to Big Lots a couple days ago, spent 10 minutes looking at their DVD section (I "eyeball" every title on the top sticker or spine very quickly), and there was nothing I wanted for $3 or even 4 for $10. :-(

There are a few titles people have mentioned in weeks past that I'd like, but they never seem to be at the stores I visit.

I made a trip to my two local big lots trying to find a copy of The ninth configuration, but I didn't find it. Saw a lot of the mentioned titles. I got:

Finally found the Widescreen Edition of Dreamcatcher, I'd seen the FS edition but not WS, glad I finally got that, now I can retire the VHS copy I have.

It/The Shuttered Room for $6. Picked it up for the up coming Horror challenge even though I was a bit miffed that it was $6 since it's 2 films on 1 disk. Last year this would have been $3...

While I was looking one of the clerks who knows me (well, they all do and know I look for DVDs on every trip) told me there was a couple of "big displays" in the back but they didn't know where they were going to put 'em and that they were "probably Halloween titles". Looking for these to be the Lions Gate titles... Now I have to check daily just in case...

The NoHo store on Sherman Way has another batch out. Saw most of the ones mentioned recently. In addition to the usual spot they also have a display up by the registers. Didn't see any of the new Lionsgate titles.

Also a small display of Halloween DVDs, but they were all Sony titles.... Panic Room, The Grudge, Exorcism of Emily Rose, Mysterious Island (?Halloween?)

Me too. So much great stuff in that movie if one is a fan of the Airplane! style of humor.

Samuel L. Jackson as Luger(Murtaugh), leaping out of his chair with childlike enthusiasm to grab the offered snow cone had me laughing out loud.

Jon Lovitz, Tim Curry, Kathy Ireland, William Shatner...in addition to Estivez and Jackson.

This was a must have movie for me on dvd and I would have definitely grabbed it for only $3.
