Paid $36 for The William Castle Film Collection back in December. I thought that was a good price. This is the cheapest I have seen it . No booklet just 5 discs. Google The William Castle Film Collection and select images and you see what the inside of the set looks like.

thanks, yes just looked it up and saw one picture of the inside. I ordered it even though I have the 13 ghosts disc already. I really like his movies.

the original price of $80 is insane for what it is. Amazon has a great deal on it- $71.49 haha.

got the william castle set today. Wow this is some of the worst packaging I've ever seen- dvds stacked on each other. I expected this of course from seeing the one small picture on the internet but it doesn't hit home how much it sucks until you want to take the discs out. Took them all out and put them in cases. Sony knows how to be cheap asses with dvd sets I guess.

This is the first time you've encountered a double-stack digipack? They've been around for several years now, and are pretty standard for a number of companies, not just Sony.

yeah I've encountered it a few times but for the price this set usually retails for it's pretty bad. The plastic used locks them in pretty tight as well so it's more annoying than the others I've had.

The picture is so out-of-focus, it is of a quality of a third generation VHS tape.

Compare this to Rhino's "Lone Ranger" release [which I own], and you will be even more appalled.

Avoid this set at all costs.
