A coupon for $10 off a $20 purchase has had unauthorized circulation. This coupon is not intended for this store and will not be accepted. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers.

Again... B.S.! Kmart f***ed up. Their problem not ours. By all means shut down the address giving out the coupon but to not accept the coupons that have already been printed when they specifically state they they are good until March and that they can be used at ANY store is B.S.!

I tried to check out in electronics, thinking they wouldn't know, but the clerk was well aware of that memo and showed me the sign. They circulated it very quickly. I'm actually impressed... That didn't bother me at all. What bothered me is a I bought DVD that was locked in one of those security cases (like BB and Target has been using for ages). The problem is, the clerk didn't know how to open it. So he called a manager. The manager couldn't open it. So he called another manager, and SHE couldn't open it. They weren't even close! I had to instruct them how to do it, since I've seen a zillion people open those things. But they wouldn't let me touch it, and they weren't following my direction well. Finally they called the security dude up, and he knew how to do it. I can't believe they use those cases if none of the cashiers, including managers, know how to open it!!!

Then I go to leave, and the alarm goes off. They didn't deactivate it. I showed someone my receipt, they deactivated it, and I walked through the doors. Only to be greeted by ANOTHER security person who insisted on seeing my receipt. This was the worst shopping experience I've ever had at Kmart, and I don't plan on going back... It literally took me 20 minutes to checkout and leave the store, and that's with NO LINE to wait in...

i used it today in the electronics area and bought 4 $5 DVD's and when i showed the coupon to the elctronics associate she scanned it put it wouldnt scan then she entered it manually and it said "record not found". She then read the coupon and said i couldnt use it on sale items so i showed her that it said it was valid on regular, sale and clerance. she than stared at the coupon for another 2 minutes trying to find another excuse to give me. at the end she just gave me the discount and took off the $10 so even though it took a while the coupon worked for me.

I tried the coupon today. It didnt scan and the cashier took it to a lady and I heard the lady say "We had a problem with that yesterday and just take it as a store coupon." I got the ninja assassin dvd.

Could have been a hacker who put it up in the first place. Remember, .pdf is probably the #1 format for malware these days. I found it a bit concerning that while i viewed the blank pdf, my pc also had the hourglass up that showed something was going on in the background.

I find it odd that Kmart hasn't taken the link down yet (assuming it's still there, I'm not going back again to find out).

First thought -- this coupon is good till sometime in April ... what are the odds of hanging on to it and waiting for it to "blow over" and then using later?

Second thought -- I know we all like to get worked up over these things ... is K-Mart violating any consumer protection laws by issuing these and then refusing to accept them except in select areas?

It'll never work except in its specifically targeted areas and even then it may expire after 40,000 redemptions which was a number mentioned somewhere.
I used it at Astor Place NYC on Sunday; scanned and deducted $10 w/o issue.

I live in Milwaukee, which is in the vicinity of Chicago. So I think "Chicago area" should qualify here, too.

i used this coupon without a problem in Addsion St store in CHicago
