Best Buy Customer Kiosk FAQ

Q: What is the Best Buy kiosk?
A: It's a customer computer kiosk/station inside each Best Buy store.

Q: How does the kiosk work and what does it do?
A: The most useful function of the kiosk is the access to BestBuy.com with store-loaded price. This gives you an option to purchase select products that your local stores may no longer carry. You can also do price checks on the kiosk by keying the product title or the product SKU without going to the checkout area. Another newer feature gives you an option to check on up-to-date on-hand counts (if the item is still listed on BestBuy.com) for product in the store you are at and the surrounding stores.

Q: Where is it located inside the store?
A: It's usually located near the DVD/Video Game/Music section. There is usually at least one if not two or more kiosks in each store.

Q: Weren't some legal issues concerning with pricing with this whole kiosk business in the past?
A: Yes, but it should pose no problem now. All kiosk now display this message, "This kiosk displays Best Buy's lowest price available between this store and its online national website prices excluding promotions and clearance and outlet center pricing which can differ between stores and online. Please see your sales associate if you have questions!"

Q: How does the ordering process work?
A: Older kiosk system: 1) Click on the lower left weblink and it will lead you to BestBuy.com. 2) Shop as you would outside the store. 3) You don't need to have an account to shop, but it is recommended. 4) Once you are ready to checkout, be sure to enter your Reward Zone account number if you have one. 5) The order will then be deliver to your designated address. 6) Once the order is placed, certain kiosk offers you the option to print out your order.
A: Newer kiosk system (new/remodeled stores): 1) Type in the search box on the screen and it will lead you to BestBuy.com 2) Follow the same steps as above

Q: What kind of payments are acceptable?
A: All payments accepted from BestBuy.com outside the store will be accepted for the kiosk as well. Gift cards are also an acceptable payement.

Q: Can I order backordered products?
A: You can still place an order as long as it's not sold out. Since most heavily-discounted kiosk products tend to be clearanced/discontinued, backordered orders may not always be fulfilled.

Q: I'm at the customer kiosk, but the product pricing is not the same. What's going on?
A: All Best Buy (B&M) or customer kiosk pricing can be regional, so YMMV. However it a few instances the store-loaded webpage may display the incorrect pricing (from the likes of pricing accessed from BestBuy.com, outside the store). Often times, if proceed to the product webpage and/or place the item in your shopping cart, the correct discounted pricing will show up. It's one of the known glitches that hasn't been fixed since they overhauled their kiosk system.

Anybody has information about the availability of My-Otome Vol.4?

Is it OOP? Or are there chances that TRSi can get it in stock again?

I just saw this "Fuka Wars" Trailer on Youtube and i just thought "WTF 0o" and "No, not again" but it seemed to be My-Hime vs. My-Otome :3.

Thats awesome...is this Fuka Wars Movie on the My-Otome DVDs?

I just finished My-Hime series and first i thought "Oh my, some kawaii fanservice anime" but man, this is the best action/drama/romatic/tragedy-anime i have every seen O_O!

Jesus i am so upset about this xD

Btw. i have a small question about My-Hime.:

Why are the little guy with white hair and the little girl in the wheel chair going away into a dark room at the end and the doors are closing? I didnt get it

I considered it as OOP. There is always a chance that they will get restocked. However there is no guarantee.

I went to Youtube to see this trailer. If you didn't know already, it's not a real one. The only unlicensed/unreleased HiME / Otome property is My-Otome 0~S.ifr~. And that is a prequel to My-Otome.

I got denied trying to use the $10 off Ponyo coupon today at Best Buy. I was told there were a bunch of fake coupons out there and they wouldn't even scan it. lol. Whatever. I'll give Target a shot later today. Anyone else having trouble with the coupon or did I just get a random jerky BB manager?

I had no issues. The cashier had to input $10 off on the register under manufacturer coupon. I have never had issues with these types of coupons in the past.

Yeah, I've never had any issues with coupons like this either, that's why it struck me as a little strange. They said a guy was in earlier with the same coupon and it wouldn't scan or something, so they had to call corporate and they were told not to take it. I said oooook, and off I went with my coupon. I'll either try Target the Best Buy I usually go to.

I had minor issues at my Best Buy. The coupon requires the cashier or someone to go to a website and verify that the coupon number hasn't been used already. They had to go to another counter and go online to verify the coupon. But they did take it, although it took close to ten minutes to buy the item. I was at Best Buy because the Mountain View, CA Target was completely sold out. They had a 5 DVD limit on this item and it was still gone by 10 am this morning. Walmart didn't carry this item according to the Walmart Electronics folks, so I wound up at Best Buy in Mountain View which had a ton of them, but a lengthy coupon verification procedure.

There a couple of DtB volumes that were in and out of their inventory. As to Kanon boxset, that's FUNi's first boxset for the series (though it is a thinpak with flimsy artbox).

I look in my order history and there isn't anything listed for some reason, but I DO remember hearing about some kind of misprice in this forum and I'm pretty sure thats what the order is for. But for the life of me I can't remember what the disc was.

Does anyone happen to remember?

I would have guessed Familiar of Zero, since I got my shipping notice from them yesterday for it. But that was for $13 and change.
