GREAT deal on a GREAT show.

I already own and love this, but might pick up another copy at this price for a gift.

Is this the cheapest this has been? I might get it as a gift for my sister, who was obsessed with the show when it aired eons ago.

The lowest I've seen before is $49 on an Amazon sale. Anybody else?

Re: Twin Peaks - The Definitive Gold Box Edition - $43.99 @ Family Video.com

I did a search before posting and the lowest I saw was the Amazon sale over a year ago. What's coincidental about this for me is that my g/f and I were discussing this the other night and she asked me if I had it and I'd told her I just had the 1st season box which didn't have the pilot movie and that the whole thing was a little pricey. No longer. Now that I've bought it, it will probably fall to $30 in a month.

I also tossed in a $11 BD of Hellboy 2 in my order. If you can find other stuff - they have good used prices - it's only $1.99 shipping for the whole order, so load up.

Might grab this as a birthday present to myself. I only watched part of the show and liked it.

Re: Twin Peaks - The Definitive Gold Box Edition - $43.99 @ Family Video.com

Family Video is extremely legit. We've had many deals here and I've ordered several times without a problem. (One time, I ordered a dozen DVDs at about $4 each w/$1.99 shipping and they sent it in like 5 or 6 shipments over a couple of weeks. I added up the postage and it's as if they blew half the money I paid in getting them to me.) Family Video is a smaller chain like Blockbuster or Hollywood Video with really low rental prices. I think a co-worker with young kids mentioned that they have free kids title rentals, so that draws people in.

Has anyone ordered used DVDs from them? And were they in good to excellent condition when you received them?

^ The previously viewed discs are almost always resurfaced. They ship each title individually in a grey plastic baggie with no padding, so there is a good chance of getting a cracked case now and then.

Thanks for the reply, Joe. I think I'll pass based on some other things I read on previous posts here at DVD Talk too.

Does anyone think this will ever be released on Blu-ray?

Recieved my copy of this today. Quick shipping and in perfect shape!
Watched the Pilot episode, international version. Seemed like a great start to a really quirky series!

Just got mine today, though the upper left corner is cracked and I'm worried about the tray slipping out, so I'm sending it back for a replacement. Anyone return anything to them before? Their website is a bit vague.
