Doh! First mistake of this batch of orders came in today. I received The Thirst (2006) instead of Thirst (1979). Mean!

So far so good on everything else. A few banged up discs but nothing that affects playback so far

This is the first time that they have screwed up an order for me. I ordered the Vacation/ European Vacation double feature (which doesn't get a discount by the way), and they sent Vacation and to make it worse, it is full screen. Then I open another envelope and inside is Rocky IV, which I didn't order (I already own it). I look at the receipt and it says the Pacifier (what I actually ordered). How the fuck do you mix that up? I hate dealing with customer service, but I am left with no choice. This was totally untypical with my experience with these guys.

Thankfully my copies of Vacation and European vacation arrived safely. Annoying cardboard snap casing though. Look at the bright side, they could have sent you Christmas Vacation 2: Cousin Eddie's Island Adventure.

Silly mistakes are part of the experience though. Receiving GI Joe the rise of cobra instead of the special edition of The Gate was like finding coal in my stocking.

I also received The Thirst (2006 crap title) instead of my ordered 1979 horror movie, Thirst. So I guess for that item hastings is 2 mistakes out of 2 orders.

I was peev'd over this last night because on their website the promo was still there saying used dvd's were 30% off, but when I went to place another order it did not take anything off...I hope they run another promo like this. Their prices were ridiculous!

If they had sent the anniversary edition of vacation, I would have let it slide and just re-order european vacation, but they sent me the old full screen version.

Add me to the list of folks who've had the wrong title sent. Ordered the 1977 horror flick The Sentintel and got the Michael Douglas one instead.

How do folks who've had this problem resolve it? Last time this happened I ordered a Veggie Tales movie for my daughter and got just the sing-a-long instead and e-mailed them. They said they couldn't ship me the movie as it was out of stock, so they credited back the charge and told me to keep the wrong disc.

I order from them far too frequently. I've had this problem many times. I find the simplest way is just to call their CS number (I've read that email takes too long). You can usually talk to someone almost instantaneously. Just say, "I got this edition instead of this correct edition. How can I be compensated?" They will usually just tell you to keep the incorrect edition and credit you anyway (unless they sent you a valuable wrong disc- Then they will send you a shipping label to ship it back.) The whole call should take less than 2 minutes. If I really wanted the disc I ordered, I just try again. Usually it should be at or around the same price.

Had my first 'error'. I ordered 3 Martial Arts titles, under the Xenon Wu Tang collection. I knew I was taking a risk since these titles are released by so many different companies. Each title had several different editions listed, so I made sure i ordered Wu, but I received other editions.

I ordered about 27 titles in this last sale and everything arrived very quickly. Aside from a couple cracked cases and a scratch on a disc here or there I'm really impressed. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.

I've gotten about 13 of my 21 I ordered so far. No wrong titles yet, but they did send single disc versions of My Bloody Valentine 3D (with no 3-D glasses) and Sex Drive. I'm going to wait until I get everything then just contact them about which ones are incorrect.

Received all of order 1, no issues. The 2 disc copy of Taken that I ordered was a used copy & I received a factory sealed copy! So far, I love Hastings!

I received a sealed copy of the Last House on the Left remake today. Slightly makes up for the 3 cracked/defective titles they sent me last week.

3 for 3...Ordered The Day the Earth Stood Still (2-disc), The Rock CC (2-disc), and The Other Boleyn Girl on 2/11/10 for $10.62 shipped. That's a little more than $2 a disc. They were listed as USED and all arrived today a-okay. I'm happy. Thanks to the original poster!

I had 26 bubble mailers waiting for me today. All of them were the correct editions, and I only had to clean a few of the discs. And on top of that, I got my federal tax refund today, so life is pretty good.

I got a great surprise today. The used copy of Dawn of the Dead UE I ordered came, and it was factory sealed. Can't beat it for $8 and change.

3 out of 4 DVDs ordered arrived in "like new" conditions. POTC 2 had some minor scratches but I managed to buff most of them off with a soft cloth. The only one that hasn't come yet is the one that shipped last Thursday, that I was afraid was going to be out-of-stock.

I was surprised that my used copy of Gumball Rally/Cannonball Run II was factory sealed, for $3 and some change. Great deal.

My copy of the 1947 WB film noir POSSESSED starring Joan Crawford morphed into some 2005 film with the same title starring Nicolette Sheridan. And just to ice the cake, it's FULL SCREEN!

its fun ordering from Hastings cause you never know whats gonna be inside the package! I've also received brand new copies sometimes and plenty of the wrong versions as well.
