Heck! It was $41.99 the last time Amazon had it on sale back in August, 2009. Oh well, no remorse, it was a great series! If you don't own it yet I recommend it highly. It was a blind buy for me.

Got it for $15.63 a season shipped from Buy.com back in '07. Blind buy. Still haven't opened it.

An excellent series, one of my favorites. I picked up each season when they were released for close to $100 each. :| I still remember buying S2 of Carnivale and my HD DVD player on the same day. If I had waited, I would've saved SO much money. :P

Yes, if you had just waited you could have seen HD-DVD lose the war and save yourself a ton of money. ;)

Thanks OP-I think I'll try this as blind buy as I've heard nothing but good things about this series. Too bad it only lasted 2 seasons if it was really that good!

Probably... but who knows. If your on the fence just wait for it to drop more IMHO. I own the set's though and wouldn't regret having to upgrade.

having watched this is sd dvd, i recall the picture quality pretty dang pretty. i mean, unusually and surprisingly good. so sad it was cancelled :(

I meant that I would have saved money on Carnivale AND the HD DVD player. Both purchases were big money losers. ;) At least I can still enjoy my Carnivale DVDs and my HD DVDs as long as I don't think about how much cheaper they are now.
