Sorry to bother again but i just wanted to know which of the GENEON Boxsets are exactly "flimsy" and which ones are "good".


"Good" as far as i know.:

Both Lyrical Boxsets (Big DVD Cases)
Zero's Familiar (Big DVD Cases)
Karin (Big DVD Cases)

"Flimsy" as far as i know.:

Rozen Maiden (Thinpaks)


So whats with Fate/Stay Night? Was it a Thinpak Box?

I still dunno if i can live with the keepcase re-releases...i love individual cases much more

Not sure if this has been mentioned before, but the Blu-ray version of Gunslinger Girl: Il Teatrino appears to have an MSRP of $10 less than the DVD version. Both are currently part of TRSI's Funimation sale. It does not look like either release includes the OVA.

FUNimation have been pricing down the BD boxset releases and Gunslinger Girl - Il Teatrino is no different. The OVA isn't included (of which is that good anyways).

Nothing has been said for Soul Eater BD releases. However most would assume that it would be eventually released. If released, expect release format like D.Gray-man.

Does Funimation have any real stated BD strategy? I'm looking at the Right Stuf sale, and there are DVD titles that I'd like to get -- if they're not going to be released on BD in the future.

The recent wave of blu-ray titles -- Ouran, Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid, Gunslinger Girl II, and so on (sob) -- has burned me, and that's making me "twice shy" about buying future Funi DVDs at this point... which sucks.

I have a small question about the re-releases of GENEON titles.

For example, the Familiar of Zero re-release (Keepcase) is listed with 4DVDs instead of 3DVDs.

1 additional DVD...whats the secret?

I was wondering the same thing. I got shafted on Claymore, Tsubasa, and D-Gray man. I still bit on Blassreiter, Linebarrels of Iron, and the rest of Sgt. Frog, but we'll see.

On a separate note, how are their blu-rays in terms of quality? I'm getting my first in the Claymore blu set, but it'll take some time to come.
