I didn't go into any stores with wish lists. I did most of my shopping at Amazon since they match or lower the price. However I walked into a Walmart at around noon and found a copy of Casino Royale 2 Disc Collector's edition blu-ray selling for 10.00, which is almost $10 cheaper than Amazon. Good find!

I think it was 11:00 am to 11:03 am on Friday for the Beatles set. It went pretty fast. I clicked on it when it first went live because the clues were pretty obvious as to what it would be. By the time I checked out and went back, it was just about gone.

I took my time on Black Friday, didnt hit the stores until 11am. I fear that the stores are gonna have a dismal holiday season. The crowds were not bad at all. I went to Best buy, and they had boatloads of dvds on sale. Nowhere near getting cleaned out. I managed to get almost everything I wanted. I went again today, and they still tons of dvds and boxsets on sale. People must not be buying much. I want to see Best Buy and Target have a profitable year. Otherwise, they go belly up, and less competition means less deals for us.

As suggested above, they never came right out and said they were going to offer this price on the set until the deal went live. But there was an extremely obvious clue on the music lightning deals page that indicated it was coming (something like: "Special Lightning Deal: A 'Fab' box set 'Four' music fans and collectors"). I had the lightning deals ordering page open prior to the start time and added to my cart as soon as it went live. All the sale copies were spoken for within a few minutes.

Went to Walmart at 6 am, for the $246 TV, the line was wrapped 3/4 of the way around the building, they had all kinds of security, and were only letting in 10 people at a time.

Left and went to Fry's, just missed their $244 TV, the guy said the last one left just minutes ago. Should have gone to Fry's first. Got the 3 handset cordless phone for $39.99, 100 Pack of DVD-R's for $9.99, and a pack of those things you put on soda cans to keep the fizz, Bottle Top.

Over to Best Buy, got their $299 TV, which I really don't know what the big deal is, they have 2 other 32" TV's for $299 regular price.

Back to Wal-Mart, no security outside, but nuts inside. Didn't buy anything other than NBA 2K10 XBox 360 for $25. The guy argued with me because it said $52.96 on the shelf. Went over to a register, checked it, paid for it, out in 1 minute, while the lines were a mile long.

Went over to the McDonalds in Walmart, got breakfast, home by 11, slept til 2, had to go to work at 3.
