Will The Wire: CS be offered again for around $89, you think?
 

I was wondering if anyone thought The Wire: Complete Series would be offered for around this price this holiday season. I remember Best Buy offered it for like $80 last year at this time. I meant to get it for Christmas last year, but was broke by then.

Best Buy usually has 50% off all HBO sets once a year. I think its Christmas Eve.

This set is regularly listed for around $70 by various sellers on e bay, and most seem to be selling the offiicial HBO release (as their feedback indicates).

I found it on eBay by numerous (legit) sellers over the past few weeks between $70 and $75 shipped. That would be your best bet.

If you can get it for that price, snatch it up in a heartbeat. It's easily worth twice that amount IMHO!

I know it's redundant to say so, but The Wire is truly the finest television show ever made. I bought the set last year for $89. While the packaging leaves some scratch marks on the discs, they all play fine. I'd wait for the HBO Best Buy sale, that's your safest bet.

Yeah, wait for the sales! If you buy from a greedbay seller and get burned don't complain to us - we warned you. There was a buyer here not too long ago who bought from some greedbay seller and got a "homemade" Wire CS!!

i had my used set (viewed once) listed for quite sometime on the exchange forum ..it never sold (like most dvd's i list on there)
i ended up selling it on ebay..not all of us are greedy or con artists

Like a poster above said once a year BB does a 50% off sale, i bought it last year a day or 2 before xmas

im snatching rome and generation kill on BR this year and maybe deadwood the complete series
