So are most of you guys getting 1 month or 3 months free?

Do you have to sign-up before finding out?

No, the 3-month offer was on the page leading into the sign-up.

No Mad Men S2 on Blu? Pass.

I just got the one month free, and that's almost up.
I definitely got my use out of it though, and I know Amazon saw much more business from me than they otherwise would have.

Just got one month free!

Do preorders that release after the trial is up remain eligible for the free 2 day shipping?

I don't think they do. I think you need have Prime paid for for the pre-orders to ship 2 day.

In fact, now that I think about it, most of my pre-orders were single orders less than $25, which means I'm going to get stuck paying shipping charges on them. I'm going to have to go in and cancel the individual orders and fold them into one order. I just checked and my Prime sub runs out on 12/2, so I may squeak in with Harry Potter.

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

I never thought I'd sign up for Amazon Prime (I've been offered free trials so many times while checking out and I've always said no), but this upcoming calendar of 2 hour specials has forced me to because there are several things I want and none of them will reach $25 per 2-hour time period. I just hope this "ain't all been in vain for nothing" (to quote Singin in the Rain) when these specials hit as I fear they may go out of stock quickly. Hopefully these are just 2 hour price specials that will be backordered if necessary rather than like the lightning deals which are sometimes gone in under 1 minute. It'll be hard as it is checking and trying to order every 2 hours while stuck at work this week.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any way to get a 3 month trial as others have. Was there a special link for that or does the same link give 3 months for some people and 1 month for others once you log in (depending how much Amazon likes you)? I guess I should update my preferences now in case I forget so it doesn't charge me next month. Posts say it's OK to do this now and not lose the Amazon Prime trial.

This sale is bullshit. If they want to run daily sales, fine. But staggering all of these things across 1-2-4 hour intervals, during work hours and all night, is a big pain in the ass. Oh, yeah, and check back for more deals during this time.

So much for the convenience of online shopping.

Got the Prime membership set up, thanks! But aside from that, this whole thing looks like it's going to be kind of confusing, maybe frustrating. Maybe it's just me...

Hope they match Best Buys price for Smallville S8 and Supernatural S4.

I agree. I have some odd feeling that all of the titles listed will still be on sale come Thursday night anyway.

Nothing on the Black Friday list I saw that interested me, but did sign up for the free prime offer for the second time on my account. If it is a web site glitch I thought I should get it before Amazon fixes it. Unfortunately only got the one month trial.

Good flick. I would buy it for that price too, if I didn't already own it from a DD sale a few years ago, for a higher price that I thought was great at the time.

As for me, it's funny that I was just considering jumping into the Looney Tunes collections after all these years. (In fact, I was thinking of putting Volume 1 on my Christmas list as I don't own any of them). Now that I see it's going to be $14.99 tomorrow evening, I will be jumping on it at that time.

I've got a bunch of amazon gift certs to spend, and I recently placed an order for some of their currently cheap titles, so I sense a lot of DVDs coming my way this week.

And as a Prime member for three years, if all I see during a time slot is one title I want, my shipping is already covered.

$14.99 is a good deal on Looney Tunes. Shame you didn't start collecting earlier this summer when BIG LOTS had the Volume 1 - 5 set for $10 + tax ($10.60 for a 20 disc set for me).

Yeah, but that was FAR beyond YMMV... Spotting one of those was the equivalent of hitting the lottery.

meh on the Amazon sale... Not worth my time to sit and wait for time frames. Guess I'll just get up around whenever on BF and stop by Wally-World to see if anything is left. Screw a bunch of 5:00 AM nonsense.

My guess:

This is not their complete Black Friday sale.

I bet they will also be price-matching retail stores like they did last year. Don't worry: this ain't it all.

It's nice to see an organized schedule for these deals. But the times aren't the greatest. I'm curious if those deals will be limited, and if so, how fast some of that stuff will sell out...

I signed up for Prime an hour ago, before reading anything about it here. I just happened to know it on my account. Great time of year to bring that offer back! I hope for many awesome deals for the next month...

This isnt like their deals of the day where items can sell out before the time slot expires is it?

Only thing on that list I might get is Fast and Furious on Blu-ray. Hoping for a Games link too.

Well, I'll be able to knock off one BF door buster with Wolverine BD tomorrow night, but most of these are a heaping pile of meh and even though I'm on vacation this week and can always order with my Pre, I'd just rather have them match all the print ads on Thansgiving like they did last year and be done with it.

Oh I was out there looking for it, I assure you. No luck. That's part of the reason I didn't buy until now; I was hoping news of a few more sets would hit the BL thread. But with those box sets long gone now, I guess this is the next best thing.
