Re: Warner Archive sales

DEALS10 will take $10 off the purchase, but add $2.50 for shipping. Still, that's a net $7.50 off. That was all I could find.

1. Does anyone know if DEALS10 is a one time use coupon?

2. Is there a minimum order amount requirement to use it?

Thanks

Someone a page ago indicated it was for orders over $50.

Re: Warner Archive sales

So with this sale right now a lot of double features are down to $13.96, have they been lower before?

There's no Code. The items are listed with SALE price when you choose the Staycation Sale.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Reading the review yesterday, I could not resist getting Crime Does Not Pay during this sale. To ease my conscience I threw in Night Court Season 4. It let me use the coupon WBWISH to take $10 more off, with a total of $53 after taxes. I tried to use the coupon again to get Dogville and Torchy Blaine and it won't work now. It won't even work if I put Night Court and Crime in the cart, just like before. I guess that I won't be getting those two until the next sale.

I'm sure it's obvious, but since I can't get at any 'regular' Archive titles to compare at the moment...

How do you tell that they're pressed rather than MOD, please?

The data side of a MOD disc is usually purple.

I read the one product review on their website for the Forbidden Hollywood Set 5 and that buyer said his discs were DVD-R. Maybe he was wrong and just assumed the set was -R because the item was described as such.

and I noticed that on the back of the packaging, it says "DVD" and not "DVD Download" so that should be a quick way to tell without having to open the package.

I think that all of the packaging always says dvd manufactured on demand regardless of whether the disk is or not. Apparently, if you tweet Warner Archive they might answer you. I wish they would be much more transparent about whether the disk is pressed or not. They keep trying to act as if noone cares when many people do.

Re: Warner Archive sales

WB won't apply the discount to 10 items, etc.. orders, but since shipping is free, multiple 5 item orders isn't a big deal I guess.

Re: Warner Archive sales

For me , first order since last January,

The Liquidator (1965)
Brass Target (1978)
All The Marbles (1981)
Cool Breeze (1972)
Inside Out (1975)

I wished they included some of the most recent titles like
Mr. Ricco, but hopefully around Thanksgiving they will have another 5 for 50 deal.

Re: Warner Archive sales

There's a 5 for $50, 10 for $95 tab for Warner Archives at the WBshop. They don't have the products set up yet (as of 2am Central), though, and it asks you to come back later...

Re: Warner Archive sales

The sale is up and running. The good news is if you order over 5 the price stays at $10 per film, over 10 the price stays at $9.50 per film. In other words if you buy 6 films they are each priced at $10 instead of 5 at $10 each and one at regular price.

Re: Warner Archive sales

An even better deal is that every pre-1960 WB catalog pressed DVD seems to be on sale for $4.49. And if you have a $10 of $30 code from the late, lamented Warner Rewards, you can use it on regular DVDs but not on Archive titles.

Re: Warner Archive sales

Also, -though I haven't pushed my shopping cart to final sale yet, -it seems that if you go over five , additional items are just $10 until you hit the "10 for $95.

I ordered several older titles I saw at that same $4.49 price(looks like you said most everything is on sale right now!) a grand total 12 films on the 4th. First order with WB.
I'd love to order some more, but when I check my order status it says....Shipment Status: IN PROCESS.
Have other people had trouble with very slow order processing?

I didn't know that! I've been saving my $10 credit for this Archive sale. Damn.

If there's any catalogue titles you want, I'd get them now, because Warner is now letting them go OOP and then reissuing them later as Archive titles (at a considerably higher price).
